There lots of drama with the Super Bowl Halftime Show. The NFL first asked Rihanna, but she declined in support of Colin Kaepernick. Then they booked Maroon 5. Now, Amy Schumer is putting the band in a very awkward position. She posted, “wouldn’t it be cool if Adam Levine and Maroon 5 stepped down too?”
Amy also won’t do any Super Bowl commercials.
“I know it must sound like a privilege ass sacrifice but it’s all I got. Hitting the NFL with the advertisers is the only way to really hurt them.”
Camille Grammer is married again! She became the wife of lawyer David C. Meyer at a private beach club in Hawaii. Kyle, Teddi, Dorit, and Lisa Rinna were there, but Lisa Vanderpump was not. Lisa is reportedly feuding with the ladies and refuses to film any group scenes. She’s still struggling with her brother Todd’s death.
Kenya Moore had her baby shower over the weekend. It was fairytale themed, and the invite said “MET Gala with a fairytale theme… we strongly encourage creativity.” Kandi, Kenya, Cynthia, Porsha, Shamea, and RHOP’s Gizelle Bryant were all there.
On the baby registry, 56 of the 74 gifts were purchased.
Ashanti’s concert was canceled after selling only 24 tickets. Stony Brook University announced they were canceling because of low ticket sales. Ashanti was replacing Teyana Taylor, who pulled out at the last minute. It gave the school only two weeks to promote Ashanti’s show.
Over on the “Jersey Shore,” Ronnie told his friends he’s going to try to work things out with his girlfriend and baby’s mother even though she allegedly tried to run him over with her car. Those charges have since been dropped. Ronnie said he and Jen are in couples therapy seven hours a day. Jen blames the show for problems in their relationship.
Paula Abdul had a scary moment during a show over the weekend. Paula was performing at the Hard Rock in Biloxi Mississippi when she fell off the stage. She walked forward to greet fans when she fell. Paula got right back up and finished the show. Fifty-six year old Paula is in the middle of her seven week, 26 city solo “Straight Up Paula” tour.
