Here's How Celebs Celebrated 4th of July

July 5, 2018

By Joanne Rosa

The 4th of July is the perfect excuse to catch up with friends, have over the top BBQs, red white and blue photo shoots, and fireworks galore. People all over America said happy birthday to the USA their own way yesterday, including some of our favorite celebrities. While you were doing your thing yesterday, here’s what celebs were up to.

Chance the Rapper Proposed to his Girlfriend

Chance the Rapper Proposed to his Girlfriend

Chance the Rapper decided to use Independence Day as an opportunity to tell the love of his life how much she means to him. Chance, 25, popped the question to his girlfriend Kristen Corley at a BBQ. “Kirsten Katrina Corley, will you make me a man and be my wife?” Kristen said yes. The couple spent the rest of the day celebrating with family, friends, and their two-year-old daughter Kensli Bennett. We love the love!

Kate Hudson Shows Off Her Baby Bump

Kate Hudson couldn’t be happier to be carrying her first baby girl. The 39 year-old flaunted her baby bump on the 4th of July. She captioned her photos, “Happy fourth!” With her girly pink maxi dress and patriotic cowboy boots, Kate was ready to take on the day and watch the parade in Aspen, Colorado.

Jennifer Lopez Lights Up the Night

Nothing says “Happy 4th of July” like a pack of sparklers. The gorgeous Jennifer Lopez showed off her American pride when she played with sparklers during her 4th of July celebration. There’s a man in the background of her post that could potentially be serious boyfriend Alex Rodriguez. They were together driving to Bridgehampton, New York doing carpool karaoke. JLo, ARod, and their kids spent the day riding bikes, going to the beach, and enjoying family time.

Selena Gomez Reunites with “Wizards of Waverly Place” Co-Star

Selena Gomez became a household name when she starred in “Wizards of Waverly Place” on the Disney Channel. Selena gifted America by reuniting with her TV brother David Henrie.

“Hope everyone had a great 4th of July!” she captioned one of her photos. “Spent mine with some of my favorite people @disney.”

She tagged other photos as “Brudder & sissy,” and “family vacation vibes.” Thanks Selena.

Taraji P. Henson Gets Cozy With Fiancé

Taraji is living her best life with her best friend and love of her life Kelvin Hayden. Taraji broke the news of her engagement to Kelvin in May. “He started with the Cartier love bracelet BUT that was my #Mothersday gift and then he dropped to his knee and I almost passed out!!!”

Taraji and Kelvin spent the day boating around the waters of New York City with their friends. They were able to see the Statue of Liberty, so there’s a chance they saw yesterday’s protester climbing up towards the top.

John Stamos Brings Son Along for Beach Boys Performance

The evergreen heartthrob John Stamos was slated to host PBS’ Capitol Fourth Concert in Washington D.C. again this year. The difference this year is he brought along his three-month-old son William “Billy” Christopher. He joked on Instagram about packing Billy away in his Gibson guitar case as a stowaway. During the Capitol Fourth Concert, Stamos preformed with the Beach Boys, and paid tribute to Billy. “This is Billy’s first 4th. Since we’re all here together at the nation’s capital, I think this is the perfect setting for me to pass on the lessons and love for this great nation that my grandfather passed on to my father and my father passed on to me. My son, for over two centuries America has given us an opportunity to be part of its great legacy.”

Nothing makes Stamos happier than finally being a Dad. On Father’s Day, he shared his thoughts in a post: “My first Father’s Day means that I don’t have to hand a kid back to the parents when someone yells cut. It means when people ask me if I’m a father, I don’t have to use the goofy line, ‘No, but I play one on TV.’ My first Father’s Day means that from this day forward—I will start to look my age (and older). Most importantly, it means that for the rest of my life, I’ll always be known as someone’s dad. And that’s all I ever wanted.”
