Celebrity Taurus

Articles

April 25, 2018

By Joanne Rosa

All other signs, take several seats. Taurus’ are the reigning Zodiac sign from April 20 through May 21. Taurus, the second sign of the zodiacs, have some of the most desirable traits about them. They work hard, are loyal AF, are driven, down to earth, and stand their ground. Of course, their stubbornness is also one of their downfalls, along with being overindulgent, and materialistic (Earth signs typically love the finer things in life). Another common trait we see in Taurus’ is their patience. They have two energies in this life: relaxed and hyped. So when they’re patient, you’re good. As soon as they run out of patience they’ll lose it. There is no wrath as terrifying as a Taurus’, so try to stay on their good side.

Clearly, these celebrities prove that a Taurus’ attributes are one of a kind formula for greatness.

George Lopez

George Lopez

George Lopez is an early Taurus born on April 23. George took the lemons life gave him and made lemonade that fans drink up and laugh through their noses. George was abandoned by his mother and used it as material for his comedy sketches. After performing around the world and landing TV appearances and comedy specials, George bagged his own show in 2002. George Lopez was a hit and still manages to make viewers laugh years later.

Jerry Seinfeld

Jerry Seinfeld

Native New Yorker Jerry Seinfeld was born on April 29 in Brooklyn. The hilarious Jerry first took the stage for an open mic night in 1976. After over a decade of comedy success, Jerry developed and starred in Seinfeld. It became one of the most influential TV shows ever created, and is still viewed on a number of networks today. These days, Jerry enjoys life on the upper east side with his beautiful wife and friend to the show Jessica, and their three children. We wonder what Jessica will cook up for Jerry’s 64th birthday!

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson

ON May 2, Dwayne was born into a professional wrestling family. He originally planned to make a career out of football, but an injury ended the opportunity. Naturally, he began making a career of wrestling, which is where he gained the name “The Rock.” He dabbled in acting while continuing his wrestling career and landed a lead role in The Mummy Returns in 2001. Despite the rock hard exterior, Dwayne is a softy, especially when it comes to his daughters. Girlfriend Lauren Hashing just gave birth to their second daughter, Tiana Gia Johnson. Their eldest daughter Jasmine Lia is two-years-old. The Rock also has 16 year-old daughter, Simone Alexandra from his first marriage. The Rock turns 46 this year, and will learn what it’s like to raise a little Taurus first hand.

Adele

Adele

On May 5, Adele will be 30 and THRIVING! The English native singer released her debut album 19 in 2008, and was easily recognizable around the world by 2011. Adele was nominated in six categories at the 2012 Grammy Awards and won in each one. This made her the second female artist (Beyoncé was the first) to be awarded in that many categories during a single night. Adele is rolling deep in her best life!

Meek Mill

Meek Mill

Less than two weeks before his birthday on May 6, Meek Mill was finally released from prison! The Supreme Court of PA overruled Judge Genese. Meek has seen nothing but the walls of his jail cell, and Hot Topics when he got chance to watch TV for nearly 6 months. Meek was released with no bail, and a pending hearing in 60 days to potentially dismiss the conviction completely. Meek tweeted: “While the past five months have been a nightmare, the prayers, visits, calls, letters and rallies have helped me stay positive… To the Philadelphia District Attorney’s office, I’m grateful for your commitment to justice–not only for my case, but for others that have been wrongfully jailed due to police misconduct. Although I’m blessed to have the resources to fight this unjust situation, I understand that many people of color across the country don’t have that luxury and I plan to use my platform to shine a light on those issues. In the meantime, I plan to work closely with my legal team to overturn this unwarranted conviction and look forward to reuniting with my family and resuming my music career.” With the help of the Taurus stars (and the PA Supreme Court), we are happy to say Meek will celebrate 31 as a free man!

Carla Hall

Carla Hall

Friend to the show Carla Hall stumbled upon fame in this life. Born on May 12, Carla was our people (and still is). Before cooking up dishes on TV, Carla was a model and an accountant. She eventually took a stab at cooking and found she not only enjoyed it, but had a knack for it. As a finalist and fan favorite on Top Chef in 2008-09, Carla was asked to join The Chew as a co-host. Turning 54 this year, Carla is still turning food into delicious dishes.

Janet Jackson

Janet Jackson

Recent mother of one, Janet Jackson was born on May 16, and is the youngest of the Jackson siblings. Janet’s successful music and acting elevated her career to a point where she even helped her brother Michael Jackson regain some credibility in 1995 with “Scream.” The seven million dollar music video managed to earn 11 MTV VMAs, and remains one of the most expensive music videos created. Days before Janet’s 50th birthday, she announced her pregnancy, and gave birth in January 2017. She eventually became the first female head writer at SNL, and was eventually cast in the show full-time in 2000 after an extensive makeover. From Mean Girls to 30 Rock, Tina’s humor knows no bounds. She will host the SNL season finale one day after her 48th birthday on May 19 with musical guest Nicki Minaj.

Cher

Cher

Musical icon Cher is an unapologetic Taurus. Born on May 20, her hard work as a singer, TV personality, and actress has made her extensive four decade career intimidatingly successful. Cher first rose to fame in the 1960s through duets with her husband Sonny Bono. Sonny and Cher had their own comedy hour on TV until their split in 1975. Shortly after, Cher launched her solo career in singing, and her acting career in the 1980s, winning an academy award for her role in Moonstruck. Cher turns 72 this year, but she is still dipping’ and doin’ it. She appears in Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again this summer.

Mr. T

Mr. T

We pity the fool who doesn’t have a special place in their heart for Mr. T. The Chicago native was born on May 21 and is the youngest of his 12 siblings. Thanks to his background as a military policeman, Mr. T thrived as a doorman and bouncer in Chicago and became known as one of Chicago’s toughest. Sylvester Stallone discovered Mr. T during a televised bouncer competition and cast him as a bodyguard in Rocky III. The rest is history. He snagged roles on the big screen, but became most known on the small with The A-Team. Mr. T took Dancing With the Stars for a spin in 2017 for the sake of trying something new. This year Mr. T turns 66 years young!
