Get the Look: Grammy Makeup Trends

February 15, 2017

Beauty expert Ashlee Glazer shows us how to get the hottest celebrity makeup looks from the Grammy Awards.

Trend #1: Sultry Eyes
Rihanna is always known for being super sexy, and this look is exactly that! To get the look start with the sultry eye. Use the matte colors first. Use a shader brush and pat all over the lid. Then Blend a bronze/rust color with a fluffy brush all over the crease and under lash line.

Take a creamy pencil to line the upper and lower waterline to make the eyes super dark and seductive! Then use a mascara, so all attention is on your eyes! Finish the look with the brows – brows are the frame of the face and set the tone for the rest of the look.

Trend #2: Berry Lip
Lady Gaga is a huge makeup inspiration, and a true original! This lip color from her Grammy look is something we can ALL wear! Blue-raspberry is an extremely flattering shade for all skin tones, and makes teeth look whiter! Start by using a lip liner to shape the lip, and fill in all over.

Tilt the pencil on its side-edge to steady your hand. Use a shade in the exact color of your lipstick to brighten the pigment, and help with longevity. Apply lipstick direct from the tube, starting at the center first, and blend all over! Use a lip brush to make sure it’s perfectly shaped and connects at the corners, to give a full pout.

Trend #3: Glowing Cheeks
Demi Lovato looks so expensive, and dripping in gold! Use a gold highlighter all over the cheek from apple to temple. Liquid highlighters give that really glossy shine, and for more metallic pop, layer a loose powder shimmer on top, or even a gold eye shadow! If you are super fair, you can still rock this look, with a champagne or silver highlight to better suit your skin tone.
