As a 25-year television veteran, Rob Dauber has worked side by side with some of the biggest names in the industry including Rosie O’Donnell, Martha Stewart and Oprah Winfrey. Now, as executive producer of the top-rated talker, The Wendy Williams Show, this Emmy award-winning producer brings his passion, enthusiasm and successful industry track record to what is sure to be the next big thing in daytime.

During the program’s sneak peek last summer, The Wendy Williams Show (airing on FOX stations in New York, Los Angeles, Dallas and Detroit) was a headline-making ratings superstar delivering top demos and household numbers. The unprecedented success of the program has laid the groundwork for a successful launch in national syndication on July 13th, 2009.

Dauber was a Supervising Producer at The Oprah Winfrey Show prior to taking the helm at The Wendy Williams Show, and served as Co-Executive Producer at The Martha Stewart Show, the daytime series he launched in September 2005.

With four Emmys under his belt, for his work on The Rosie O’Donnell Show, Dauber is no stranger to the television business. He served as Supervising Producer of The Rosie O’Donnell Show from 1998-2002, and as Creative Consultant for two seasons of NBC’s primetime series, The Restaurant with Rocco DiSpirito, where he worked with Executive Producer Mark Burnett. In Fall 2004, Burnett approached Dauber to help develop The Martha Stewart Show, marking the domestic diva’s return to daytime. For two seasons, he was co-executive producer of the highly successful program which the New York Times named as one of the “ten best shows on television” under his watch.

Dauber, who credits news veteran Linda Ellerbee as his inspiration for getting into the television business, got his start in live news production. He spent the first ten years of his career working at news organizations across the country.

In addition, Dauber is a former board member of The Hetrick Martin Institute, in New York City. HMI runs the Harvey Milk High School for gay, lesbian, bi-sexual, transgendered and questioning youth; HMI also provides a safe haven and after school programs for these youth.

Dauber hails from Mascoutah, Illinois. He graduated with a major in radio and television from Indianapolis’ Butler University. He currently resides in New York City with his chocolate Labrador, Scout, and recently shocked his friends and mother by tattooing both his arms.
