After the tragic news of the Las Vegas shooting on Monday morning, “Dancing With the Stars” started with a moment of silence for the victims and those affected by the attack.

Luckily for the stars this week, there are no eliminations. This is a relief for the stars knowing that this dance won’t be their last.

Drew Scott & Emma Slater

DREW SCOTT, EMMA SLATER

ABC/Craig Sjodin

“Red Right Hand” by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Argentine Tango
#TeamHotProperty

Drew grew up in Vegas and said Vegas has his support during this difficult time. Len had less home improvement puns for Drew’s dancing last night. Going first is tough, but Drew was confident and nailed his dance. Drew’s scores last night were significantly higher than previous weeks.

Carrie Ann: 8
Len: 7
Bruno: 8
TOTAL: 23/30

Derek Fisher & Sharna Burgess

DEREK FISHER, SHARNA BURGESS

ABC/Craig Sjodin

“The Fresh Prince of Bel Air” by DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince
Cha Cha
#TeamHoopsAndHeels

Derek’s guilty pleasure of watching “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” might have made him a better dancer last night. Carrie Ann said Derek is getting to know his body better, and hit his steps and his lines. Len said that dancers tend to do better if they like the music, and it was obvious Derek was liking the tunes!

Carrie Ann: 7
Len: 7
Bruno: 7
TOTAL: 21/30

Victoria Arlen & Val Chmerkovskiy

VICTORIA ARLEN, VALENTIN CHMERKOVSKIY

ABC/Craig Sjodin

“Tubthumping” by Chumbawamba
Quickstep
#TeamViVa

Despite being bullied in high school, Victoria never let anything keep her down for long! Carrie Ann recognized that Victoria has found her own style of dancing, and she is twirling her way to a 10. Unlike last week, Victoria didn’t lean on Val as much. Co-host Tom took a moment to tell kids that were watching to “not be an ass” to kids that are different.

Carrie Ann: 8
Len: 7
Bruno: 7
TOTAL: 22/30

Vanessa Lachey & Maksim Chmerkovskiy Alan Bersten

VANESSA LACHEY, MAKSIM CHMERKOVSKIY

ABC/Craig Sjodin

“Girls Just Want to Have Fun” by Cyndi Lauper
Jazz
#TeamBabiesandBallrooms

Vanessa’s struggle this week was dancing with three other professional female dancers. She had to make sure every little move she made was on point, otherwise it would stick out like a sore thumb. Len and Bruno thought the dance looked good, but Carrie Ann saw a few mistakes. Carrie Ann said it’s week three, and it’s time to step things up a bit.

Carrie Ann: 7
Len: 8
Bruno: 8
TOTAL: 23/30

Nikki Bella & Artem Chigvintsev

NIKKI BELLA, ARTEM CHIGVINTSEV

ABC/Craig Sjodin

“Love on the Brain” by Rihanna
Viennese Waltz
#TeamSmackdown

Things got a little steamy between Nikki and Artem, but not to worry. John Cena was close by to keep an eye on things. The dance was sexy, without being over the top. There were some spins where Nikki lost some control, but overall Nikki did well.

Carrie Ann: 7
Len: 7
Bruno: 7
TOTAL: 21/30

Frankie Muniz & Witney Carson

FRANKIE MUNIZ, WITNEY CARSON

ABC/Craig Sjodin

“It’s Gonna Be Me” by *NSYNC
Samba
#TeamFranneyPack

Was Frankie trying to tell the stars that he will be the last man standing with his song choice?! The dance was more than just entertaining, it was good! Despite Frankie’s persisting back problems and not being able to rotate his hips, the judges still gave him decent scores.

Carrie Ann: 7
Len: 7
Bruno: 7
TOTAL: 21/30

Lindsey Stirling & Mark Ballas

LINDSEY STIRLING, MARK BALLAS

ABC/Craig Sjodin

“Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go” by Wham!
Jive
#TeamSTARK

Lindsey Stirling is thankful to be on DWTS since she and her boyfriend split just a week ago. It’s not easy going through life with a broken heart, but it’s great to have a distraction! Even though it’s only week three, Len called this the dance of the season. Lindsey and Mark’s dance was tight, light, and right, which is why the landed the highest score of the season!

Carrie Ann: 9
Len: 9
Bruno: 9
TOTAL: 27/30

Sasha Pieterse & Gleb Savchenko

SASHA PIETERSE, GLEB SAVCHENKO

ABC/Craig Sjodin

“I Can’t Help Myself (Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch)” by Four Tops
Jazz
#TeamATeam

As adorable as the synchronized dance was, it didn’t really come together for the judges. They kept waiting for the climax, but it never happened. Len said even though it didn’t really pan out for him, he knows what he dancing capabilities really are. Fair is fair, and Sasha’s dance not panning out for judges gave her the lowest scores of the night.

Carrie Ann: 7
Len: 6
Bruno: 6
TOTAL: 19/30

Nick Lachey & Peta Murgatroyd

NICK LACHEY, PETA MURGATROYD

ABC/Craig Sjodin

“Jump (For My Love)” by The Pointer Sisters
Jazz
#TeamMomAndPops

After being in jeopardy last week, Nick had to step up his game. It was clear to the judges that Nick was more confident this week. Will it be enough to keep him out of jeopardy? Perhaps it was the leotard that gave him that extra pep in his step.

Carrie Ann: 7
Len: 7
Bruno: 7
TOTAL: 21/30

Terrell Owens & Cheryl Burke

Disney ABC

ABC/Craig Sjodin

“The Breaks” by Kurtis Blow
Salsa
#TeamGetchaPopcorn

Break dancing is all about having fun and Terrell brought his best moves to the dance floor! Cheryl definitely refined his break dancing moves, and it was all worth it. This was Terrell’s highest score yet!

Carrie Ann: 7
Len: 7
Bruno: 7
TOTAL: 21/30

Jordan Fisher & Lindsay Arnold

LINDSAY ARNOLD, JORDAN FISHER

ABC/Craig Sjodin

“The Glory Days” by Michael Giacchino
Charleston
#TeamFishUponAStar

Ending the show with Jordan is always a good choice. Carrie Ann was left practically speechless. Len called Jordan a great dancer, but was bitter that there wasn’t enough Charleston in the dance routine.

Carrie Ann: 9
Len: 7
Bruno: 9
TOTAL: 25/30

Watch Dancing With the Stars next Monday at 8|7c on ABC to see who gets eliminated.
