We are all about beauty here at Wendy, but sometimes there just isn’t enough time, or money, to get everything you want in order to luxuriate!

We got you covered.

We can look and feel beautiful with these genius DIY beauty hacks.

Avocado Hair Mask
There are a few wonderful things about this avocado hair mask. First of all, it’s a deep conditioner for all hair types. The fats from the avocado do wonders for your hair. Next, it’s super easy to make. Last, you only use half of the avocado on your hair, so you can use the other half for guacamole!

You’ll need half an avocado, 2-tbs of coconut oil (or olive oil), 2-tbs of organic raw honey. Simply blend all of the ingredients together until it’s smooth to the touch. Apply to hair, paying special attention to massage the mask into the roots. Let the mask sit for an hour, and enjoy your guacamole and catching up on hot topics.

Rinse the mask out, and see your hair fortified!

Shower Melt
We know what you’re thinking, what in the spa-ation is a shower melt?! We had the same thought. Once we read up on it, we were obsessed. Not everyone has time for a bath, so these shower melts will do the trick of getting you relaxed after a long day.

You’ll need 1-cup cornstarch, 5-7 drops of lavender essential oil, a mini ice cube tray, and 2-tbs of water. Place the lavender and cornstarch in a bowl, and mix well. Add blue and red food coloring (if you need it to be a purple color), and continue mixing. Add water and continue mixing. As you mix, add a few drops of water and continue mixing until it is a paste like consistency. Divide into the mini ice cube tray, smooth the top, and freeze for an hour.

When you want to use it, place the melt on the shower floor and enjoy the lavender, steamy goodness.

Body Butter Cream
We all know how important it is to moisturize. But sometimes, the moisturizers we want are a fortune, or they are filled with a bunch of ingredients we can’t pronounce. This simple, all natural body butter cream will go onto your skin like butter on a hot skillet.

You’ll need 1-cup of shea butter, ½-cup of coconut oil, and ½-cup of almond oil. Feel free to add a few drops of your fave essential oil as well. Put all of the ingredients into a bowl and mix on medium speed for about 5 minutes. That’s it!

Transfer into mason jars and use immediately after you shower. The specific recipe can become a little costly, as the ingredients will be a total of $20 give or take. Be a savvy shopper and look out for sales on these ingredients.

Sugaring “Wax”
Beauty is pain, right? Waxing is what some of us consider a staple in our lives. The whole process is painful and can become expensive. Sugar wax is something you can do at home, and is apparently less painful than normal waxing.

The technique to sugar waxing is better explained in a video tutorial.

Waxing is a long-term solution to hair removal, and can also remove dead skin that you didn’t even realize you had.

Strawberry Teeth Whitening
Who doesn’t want white teeth, right? This strawberry teeth whitening hack is another easy solution to our never-ending list of beauty goals.

Create a paste with 1-tsp of baking soda, 1 mashed strawberry, and 3-4 drops of lemon essential oil to taste. Mix it together and brush your teeth as you normally would, for two minutes. When you’re done, rinse your mouth out.

After a few times of doing this, you’re teeth can be visibly whiter.

Green Tea Bags
Between stress, work, lack of sleep, whatever life brings you, we all end up with dark, puffy circles under our eyes. A natural remedy for this is to brew up some green tea for your self with 2 green tea bags.

Let it steep as long as you’d like and remove the bag from the cup. Let the bags cool slightly until they are warm (not hot) to touch. Place over your eyes for 5-10 minutes.

The green tea will work its wonders and you’ll look better than ever!

Make Perfume Last Longer
Do you ever put perfume on and then find you’ve lost your scent after 30 minutes? Yeah, you and basically every other woman on earth. We have the solution!

Next time you apply perfume, put a small amount of Vaseline or moisturizer on your pulse points. This includes your wrists, neck, inside of your elbows, below midriff, behind your knees, and on your ankles and calves. Once you do that, spray your perfume, attempting to focus on those pulse points.

You’ll leave your house smelling fabulous all day long!
