UPDATE: Tiger Woods has spoken up after his arrest early Monday morning. He claims there was no alcohol involved in the incident, and it was a reaction to prescribed medications.
“I understand the severity of what I did and I take full responsibility for my actions. I want the public to know that alcohol was not involved. What happened was an unexpected reaction to prescribed medications. I didn’t realize the mix of medications had affected me so strongly. I would like to apologize with all my heart to my family, friends and the fans. I expect more from myself too.”
Apparently, Tiger Woods doesn’t know that cops are crawling on the streets during Memorial Day weekend.
Woods was arrested around 3:00am this morning in Jupiter, Florida and charged with DUI. Woods was booked into Palm Beach County Jail around 7:00am and was released at 10:50am on his own recognizance with no bond.
According to Sports Illustrated, Woods hasn’t played golf competitively since February, 2017.
This is a developing story. We will update as more information becomes available.
