We were there for the Golden Globes and certainly didn’t miss the Grammys.

It’s been a jammed packed award season with fabulous fashions, picture perfect performances and shocking surprises.

Award season takes a bow this Sunday with the Academy Awards. Here are our favorite Oscar moments!

Cher’s Sheer Dress

60th Annual Academy Awards

It was 1988! People were pretty relaxed and accepting of lifestyles, fashions, and music, but not as easy going as we are today. Cher wearing a sheer dress to the Oscars set the precedent for all sheer red carpet looks there after. The best part of the night was when she won an Oscar for best actress for her performance in Moonstruck.

Halle Berry Big Win

US actress Halle Berry accepts her Oscar for Best

In 2002, Halle Berry made history by becoming the first black woman to win an Oscar for best actress. Berry was overcome with emotion when her name was announced for her performance in Monster’s Ball, making this moment an instant tearjerker. It took several minutes for her to gain the composure to give an acceptance speech. When she finally got it together, her first line was, “This moment, is so much bigger than me.” This moment is one we will never forget.

Angelina Jolie’s Leg

84th Annual Academy Awards - Arrivals

Angelina is usually the celebrity that prefers to stay out of the public eye. Of course, that doesn’t happen, but we believe she really tries (for the children). However, Jolie wanted all eyes on her, or her leg, at the 2012 Oscars. The pose became so iconic, it nearly crashed the internet.

Jennifer Lawrence Takes a Spill

85th Annual Academy Awards - Show

Some people have a really likable personality. Jennifer Lawrence is one of those people. Spilling yogurt on a plane? She’s been there. Falling at the 2013 Oscars accepting her award? Yup! She won best actress for her performance in Silver Linings Playbook. Turns out, this isn’t even the most embarrassing moment she’s ever had. That one wasn’t caught on tape. Fortunately, her Oscar fall was.

Ellen’s Oscar Selfie

86th Annual Academy Awards - Show

Our definition of the word “epic” is so loose these days. However, Ellen’s selfie at the 2014 Oscars was truly epic! This photo includes Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts, Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, Lupita Nyong’o, Kevin Spacey, Jared Leto, and last but not least, Ellen DeGeneres. This photo set the record for the most retweets on Twitter, and was retweeted more than 750,000 times in the first 45 minutes.

We can’t wait to see what happens this year!

The 89th Annual Academy Awards airs Sunday 7e|4p on ABC.
