Michael Jackson, 1993
You knew it was gonna be a legendary halftime show when the King of Pop actually popped on stage. The crowd went wild for almost two minutes. #Chills

Michael Jackson set the bar for all other halftime performances. He unified the globe that night by closing with “Heal the World.”

Janet Jackson, 2004
There’s no denying that the Jacksons are a talented family. Janet’s halftime performance had it all: sexy choreography, our favorite songs and Justin Timerlake. Janet’s boob even made an appearance. Aside from Janet as the boobliner headliner, the show included P. Diddy, Kid Rock, Jessica Simpson, and Nelly.

Prince, 2007
There was Purple Rain during Prince’s halftime show. Literally, it down poured while he sang Purple Rain. He performed original songs, covers, and plenty of guitar solos. It’s still hard to believe that almost a year has passed since Prince’s death.

Beyonce, 2013
Queen Bey’s halftime event was so powerful, the lights blew out. Technically, the mishap cannot be blamed on Beyonce’s killer performance. However, that’s what everyone assumed. Not only was Beyonce fiercer than ever, but she brought Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland back for a Destiny’s Child Reunion. She was great once, so the NFL brought her back again in 2016 to collab with Coldplay, and Bruno Mars. We bow down to you, Queen.

Bruno Mars, 2014
We love a halftime performance that gets us out of our seats dippin’ and doin’ it. Bruno Mars opened rocking out on the drums, and then dove into a fast paced version of “Locked Out of Heaven.” We felt like we were on cloud nine during this groovy, and upbeat performance. Plus, he had the dance moves and wardrobe to match.
