The Golden Globes start at 8:00 PM EST this Sunday, January 8th, but let’s be real…we’ll be watching the red carpet starting at 6:00 PM!
While we’re excited to see those who will be going home with a Globe (or two!), there is one award that was already announced and that is Miss Golden Globe or in this case Miss Golden Globes.
You’ll be seeing them in the background of basically every acceptance speech as they assist in handing out the awards.
Sistine Stallone has an up and coming modeling career. Sophia is 20-years-old and studying at the University of Southern California. Fourteen-year-old Scarlett is a track star. Her dad calls her “Flash”.
Let’s take a minute to appreciate how much of a total DAD Sylvester Stallone is!
Here’s a look back at some of the past Miss Golden Globes!
Dakotah Johnson, the daughter of actors Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson, was Miss Golden Globe in 2006. And oh yeah, she stars in the steamy Fifty Shades of Grey franchise as Anastasia Steele! The 2nd installment, Fifty Shades Darker hits theaters on Valentine’s Day!
Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick’s daughter Sosie Bacon helped pass out the awards in 2014. For Sosie, acting in a family affair. She first appeared on the big screen when she was 10-years-old in Loverboy, which was directed by her dad. She later guest-starred in The Closer, with her mom.
In 2009, Miss Golden Globe was Rumer Willis, the oldest daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore. In 2015, Rumer went on to win the mirror ball trophy on season 20 of Dancing with the Stars and later that year, she made her Broadway debut as Roxie Hart in Chicago.
How could we forget these major throwbacks?
Laura Dern was Miss Golden Globe in 1982. Acting is in her DNA. Her parents are actress Diane Ladd and actor Bruce Dern. After passing out the awards, Laura went on to win 4 Golden Globes of her own.
Melanie Griffith had the honor of being Miss Golden Globe in 1975 and her daughter, Dakotah followed in her footsteps. She won her first Golden Globe in 1988 for her role in Working Girl.
And let’s not forget the guys. Freddie Prinze, Jr. was Mr. Golden Globe in 1996. His father was actor and stand-up comedian, Freddie Prinze. Freddie went on to star in the cult favorite, I Know What You Did Last Summer and is married to Buffy the Vampire Slayer Sarah Michelle Gellar.
