Miracle Holiday Chocolate Cake!

1 1/4 Cup Cold Water
2 Cups Flour
5 T. Cocoa
1 Cup Sugar
2 tsp. Baking Soda
1 Cup Miracle Whip (must be this NOT Mayonnaise)

Pre-heat oven to 370 degrees. Grease your cake pan and then sprinkle flour to lightly coat all sides and bottom. Pour excess out. In a large mixing bowl combine all the above ingredients. You can stir with a spoon yourself or use a beater. Make sure all mixed and nice and smooth. Place in greased and floured cake pan or make cupcakes (makes between 22-24 cupcakes). Bake a full pan between 20 & 30 minutes. Cupcakes cook closer to 10-15 minutes. Don’t over cook. Check if cake is done by sticking a toothpick in the middle; if it comes out clean it’s done.

I finally tried these for the first time yesterday and they were moist
all right but tasted like hell! I knew nothing good come of a recipe
that omits eggs and butter but figured this dressing was a shortcut. I
tried the cake version and it went straight into the trash.

I tried it and the cupcakes turned out great. What a great tip!

I love baking and rushed with enthusiasm to make this recipe and was very disappointed. I actually had a guest who also tried the cup cake and I was so embarrassed to even take
ownership. The cupcakes tasted like Miracle whip and made my stomach sick. I
will not be using this recipe again or sharing it.

I use mayo to make my cakes/cupcakes too, and yes it makes them MOIST. It was a simple little trick that my grandmother taught me years ago
