1 (8 1/2 ounce) package yellow corn muffin mix, prepared and baked according to package instructions
6 Twinkies halves lengthwise
1 (14-18-pound) turkey
1 tart apple, peeled, cored and diced
1/4 cup honey

4. Rinse the turkey. Crumble muffins into a bowl, add the apple and toasted Twinkies and mix lightly. Loosely stuff the mixture into the turkey and truss the legs. Place the turkey, breast side up, on a rack set in a roasting pan. Roast the turkey for 12 to 15 minutes per pound, until the thigh temperature reaches 175 degrees to 180 degrees and the juices run clear.
5. In a small bowl, combine the honey with the reserved creme filling and mix well. Brush the turkey with the honey mixture during the last ten to fifteen minutes of roasting time.
6. Remove the turkey from the oven and let stand for 20 minutes before carving.

  2. Hi Wendy, my name is Katrice. Just the other day I bought the new lemon twinkies because I just love love love Twinkies and I was wondering why the little white cardboard wasn’t in the package because I love scraping the leftover cake off so that I can eat it. So I exclaimed to my mother “oh maybe their cutting cost” and she said “yes you know their going bankrupt” and I felt so sad inside. I had no idea, she said that you were trying to save them and I think that is so beautiful because Twinkies mean alot to so many people it’s a big part of my childhood I have to have my twinkies. This news is so devastating.I do have an idea for a new twinkie flavor. Since they have the strawberry, lemon, chocolate, banana. They haven’t tried doing a devils food twinkie with the original creme inside. If you could let Hostess in on this idea it would be great I would love to eat one. Love ya Wendy <3<3

  4. Loved the Twinkie Chef! Tonight the girls got together & made the milkshakes on your show…BUT since we are all over 21, I soaked the Twinkies in a Kahlua, vodka, & Bailey’s mix and instead of malt powder I used Whoppers candy and chocolate syrup. Oh holy malt balls were they awesome! I would have never thought of adding the Twinkie if not for your chef! We have named our new drink “Wendy’s Twinkie-Slide” Loves!

  8. Wendy: Twinkies make great strawberry or blueberry shortcake.
Cut them in half and scoop out 1/2 cream. Fill with your blend of strawberries, blueberries, or even cutup peaches. It helps when the fruit is in smaller piecesand there is some juice to put on top. At the top of it all, replace the leftover soft creme on top! Everyone likes this special treat.
