Hello Wendy,
I learned to take my musical geniuses as they are. Unless Astro is out there committing major felonies. DO THE DARN THING !!
People need to stop being so judgemental, NOBODY is perfect.

It’s a shame but too many people believe that this young teenager should act like some old beat up humble person—- he is a kid and Simon could be a huge pain in the ass at times. I do not blame him— He is going to be just fine!!! Rappers are like that— confident and sure of themselves, also Brooklyn is not one of those country towns with 1000 folks and no movie theatre. So give him a chance he is smart and talented with good parents!!!!

Hi Wendy,
I don’t know if you enjoy America’s Next Top Model, but this latest season really had a twist. The one who won was disqualified! ( I was so disappointed because I was rootin for her) Can you expose what really happened? I read that she won and bragged on face book before the finale was aired, and crossing the line and breaking the rules, she lost it all while the one I detested the most, was crowned America’s Next Top Model All Star. Please find out what you ca?
Thank you Wendy,
Doreen

I am turned off because he was acting over his age, at first I was OMG that kid is good but after seeing his attitude thats it, I wanted him off the next week, then using Brooklyn as an excuse come on all Brooklyn people are not like that, I’m sorry but I have to speak my mind.

OMG! The lady who left the really long message……….you go girl! That’s exactly what I think, I’m 100% with you on everything. Like I said, he’s just another “canye” on training wheels or Chris Brown for that matter. And YES, when he was on your show, it was too rehearsed.
I beleive he will have many more of these tantrums , because so many other talented adults seem to get away with them even on live tv, like Chris did on the GMA set when he broke a window because he was confronted with his previous bad behavior.
Nope…….not buying it!

I liked your interview with Astro. I hope he gets Nas to do a song with him on his album–they have that Brooklyn vibe to them! But no more guest appearances on his album like most artists do now, only one.

Hey Wendy!
So, I’m I guess the only one who’s not Camp Astro around here!? Here’s the thing…I’m a mom of a 12yr old, but I’ve been thru the ringer w/these pre-early teeneeys….cause I’m also mom of a 20 and 21yr olds!!
Ok, so, back to it. Over the years, I’ve definately learned that the 1st reaction is the true feelings re: whatever the sitution is that they’re caught up in. From the 1st time I saw this kid on the show…my first thought was “Somebody needs to humble this kid”. And then when he was caught in a situation he didn’t like….like most all kids that age, he ran his mouth an threw the tude. And I was waiting with baited breath to see Simon give him the humbling he deserved.
Now, I understand as a parent, you encourage your kids star to shine, and are his/her biggest fan…but it was clear from the get go that his parents had needed to knock him down a notch long ago…and since the clearly hadn’t, I was waiting for Simon to “pull a Wendy”, and “say it like you mean it”. And to a point, he did….but then he turned around and condoned his temper/attitude and chose to keep him, rather than the Stacy, who no doubt out sang him durring the “Sing for your Life” song!! More mixed messages to this kid…again reinforceing that in the end, you can do/act/be the fool you want to be, and everyone will look the other way because you’re young and cute and talented. I was furrious.
So, now fast forward to the next week on X, and out onto your show…where his handlers have had ample time to drill his head w/the reality that his folks never were able to instill….that he’s not cute, and that if he wants anyone to change their tune to his favor after his behavior that night, that this had better be what comes out of his mouth, and this is what his body language must say. And because he wants his star to continue to rise….he’ll play along. Until, that is, that he’s somehow caught in a situation that he again doesn’t like, and BAM you sit back and watch how fast that kid lips off again.
I do truely wish him well. I hope he proves me wrong the next time an uncomfortable situation comes up in his career. Young kids like him who posess amazing talents at such early ages are phenoms,, to be sure. Parents to such amazing kids have a tough row to hoe encouraging and helping to teach those kids to go for their dreams…..but also have the responsibility to teach them respect years beyond the respect that most kids are taught…as most kids aren’t going to land smack in the eye of the public.
I, for one, am not buying the contrite kid on the couch act. He’s got too many professional handlers in his ear prewriting his every word of response to criticism. Wait til the next time he’s caught in a situation…. From the 1st day he hit the X stage, his ability as a performer struck us all. The day he didn’t like what he heard, is when we finally met the true person behind the Astro Act. And now….now he’s back to performing.
Geesh!! I now resign the soap box to someone else!!! I got a bit carried away I guess…. Just definatetly Sayin it Like I Mean It!!
Love you Wendy!
