Hot Nail Trends!
This fall the must-have celebrity accessory isn’t the latest handbag or designer shoes, but the hottest nail design.
You don’t need to be a celeb or spend a lot of money to be part of the trendsetting crowd.
Nail expert Julie G. shows us how to get the perfect trendy nail.
Pop of Color!
The 3 hottest nail colors for the fall are deep jewel tones and metallics.
Deep Violet, Faux Pas from Illamasqua
Rich Turquoise, Echo from Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics
Antiqued Metallic Gold, Cruising from Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics

Magnetic:
Magnetic nail polish uses metallic particles to create a 3D design on your nails while staying smooth to the touch. It’s really fun and easy – all you do is apply one coat of the polish to your nail and let it dry. Then apply one more coat and hold the cap over the nail.
The cap has a magnet on the top of it, so as you hold it over the nail, the iron powder in the nail polish is gravitating toward the magnet which is creating a really cool design. You only need to hold it here for about 15 seconds for the design to appear.

Half Moon Manicure:
The “Half Moon” Manicure is a really chic and really easy to do at home. All you need is two of your favorite colors. Here we have a white nail polish from MAC, and a grey/taupe color from Jesses Girl called Stiletto.

Leopard Print:
The Leopard print nail is really fun and easy to do especially if you don’t have the steadiest hands. The first step is to coat your nails with a solid color. Do a base coat with “All Things Girly” and “Fashion Friday”.
Once you’ve given them a chance to dry for a few seconds, take a black nail polish using a script brush and create “C” or “bracket” shapes surrounding each of the dots. You can also add random black dots in empty spaces. Wait about 15-20 minutes before you apply a top coat so the design lasts for a lot longer.

Short nails are rather more appropriate for every day mode of life — probably each woman will agree with this. They are going to break less often. They cannot tear up the tights, and they have another no much less necessary advantages. Let’s point out at the very least the truth that according to the perfect “glossy” journal results of surveys, largely men choose to see a woman’s hand with not too long fingernail design, that’s, males love to see nail designs which they affiliate with femininity not with beastly tendencies.

Oh I LOVE the Magnetic polish too! It looked great I was just looking at some of the neat nail kits they had at Walgreen’s last night, but I though it will never come out like that. Thank you for having this on to help teach us.
I feel more confident to try it now.
I’ll share this with the ladies on my Blog! http://www.smartmomssavingmoney.blogspot.com
Thanks again Wendy, Love ya and the show!

How you doin’n? I absolutely love these and I cannot wait to try them out myself. Especially the half-moon, fierce! I have another real simple trick to share. Just paint your nails as usual. Best with a lighter color of polish. Let them dry. Then soak them in rubbing alcohol for about 10 to 20 sec., next apply a clipped news paper article against them. Hold for about 10 more sec. and then put on your top coat. It transfers the print right onto your nail. I am a waitress and people just seem to love it when they see it. I like to use articles on romance, fashion, and love. They tend to have better words.

Friday November 11th, 2011 at 12:46 pm
I love Julie, she is so talented!
To the above post, no the magenta would not work with any polish, you would need to get a special polish. You can find them at Sephora.
