REGARDING JALEEL WHITE: I watched Family Matters a lot. I was surprised when I discovered that my uncle watched it also. That “Urkel” character bespoke the “condition” of a lot of young Black men. It would’ve been remarkable and significant if Mr. White could’ve said something about that role… but then, maybe that would’ve been more so the “WRITER’S” intelligence, not his own. Regardless of the needling he must get, the role bespoke the condition of millions of young Black boys who were bookish and had high-pitched voices. My uncle, who is a construction worker, shocked he mess out of me when I found out he liked that show because of Steve Urkel. I though to myself: maybe it reminded my uncle of his nephew so much. When you think about it: more “Steve Urkels” go to college than “Eddie Winslows”–um jus sayin.

Ok Wendy,my mouth watered when you mentioned cooking turkey bacon in the microwave on your show today. I just love bacon, but had a cooking fail in the past and never tried it again. What do use to cook it on and for how long?
Thanks for the tips in advance.

Wendy, I am writing you regarding another issue. Recently I attempted to request tickets for your show. To my surprise I was requested to upload my picture. I wondered why? My first thought was because you are weeding out potential audience members in an attempt to make sure those on display to the public would be “youthful”. When I discussed with my friend, she also mentioned that it might be to make sure that only a certain percentage of the audience wouldn’t be “people of color”. Additionally it occurred to us that “looks” also could be a possible part of the criteria. This is conjecture on our part. Before we, and others, jump to the wrong conclusion (or is it the right one?), please clarify for those who watch you show and interested in attending why we’re requested to provide our pictures in order to attend a taping. Also, what is a person to do if they do not have a digital picture that they can provide? I look forward to your response – or whoever responds on your behalf. I am hoping that we’re wrong about a “mature woman” who also is a “woman of color” attempting to limit older and/or people of color from your audience. Thank you.
