Jessica Simpson is newly engaged to her NFL playing boyfriend (who hasn’t played since 2008), Eric Johnson.

Eric and Jessica have only dated for 6-months and according to news reports, there is no prenup. Between her music career and shoe line, Jessica has MONEY.

  1. She. Shouldn’t marry him at all,he is only after her money and the fame she brings him!! I love you jessica and I say don’t marry him BUT if u do get a pre nup,you didn’t work so hard to give it all away!!!

  2. Hell yes she should get a prenup. I thought she would have learned her lesson after nick. Jeeze they havent even been together that long. I suppose tho if anyone has the money to lose in a divorce its her.

  3. she should think about her employees and her collaborators and everyone who has helped her to get where she is. They don’t deserve to struggle because she made a passionate and impetuous (though immature) decision. As a previous divorcee, she should be thinking more realistically. Romance is fleeting, finance is forever.

  5. Just read a comment up further about getting the pre-nup right away.
    If they spend any time in Texas and even jokingly show themselves to be married – it’s common law. Texas recognizes just a day of playing married as common law marriage.

  6. Hi ya doin Wendy wtf thats too soon to be getting married especially to someone who dnt have a paying career…she shldnt get a prenup she shld wait a while till she get married…i luv jessica wish her the best in her career and her relationship

  7. Is there a Hell Yes!!!! Whether she is smart or not, she portrays herself to be dumb. If this guy is all I’ve read him to be, she’s not just dumb – she’s stupid not to get a pre-nup.
    Celebrities fall into a different category than normal people. Normally I would not recommend a pre-nup – but, come on, this is just crazy.

  9. Jessica has an empire to protect hello!!!! Its well know fact that most NFL players go broke after five years when they retire. Plus, the fact that dude hasn’t played in the NFL since 08′ (BROKE or close to it), his Yale degree may have just gotten himself a $100 million dollar pay out..oops I mean Wife.

I think she has only known him 6months (not long enough) she was married before then divorced and her and Nick got 1/2 which they fought about now regardless of the law and no prenup then. now her career is more established why have this battle again….she is CRAZY IN LOVE and STUPID…. She needs a prenup

  12. Heck yeah she’s an idiot first cause she left Nick cause her career was taking off and his not so much. But then erbody got tired of her stupid act. Then her show failed, she got dissed by Mayer (lil-ballz), Mega Dissed by Romo (Cowboys suck this year)! Now after (AFTER) her ex decides to marry the girl who stuck by him till he got a paying gig (T.V game show host), her Free-Agent-Fiance (free-agent) asked her to marry him. I mean he can afford the ring now, but what he gonna do if he don’t get signed? I smell a reality show…Dating Jessica Simpson Going for Broke! LOL!!! hi u doin Wendy luv ur show!

  13. I think in Jessica’s case she should get a pre-nup, she just met him a few months ago, she should slow her roll. I think she is very needy and the fact that Nick got engaged recently…she had to do something.

  14. GET A PRENUP. In this day an age where divorce is so rampart, it would be a shame if you’d lose half of it to someone who’s denitely not your equal.It’s not all about love.Finances play a big part why people divorce each other.

  17. If the value of your assets are equal to or more than your boy/girlfriend assets, get a prenup. She’s already a divorcee and divorces are more common now, protect yours and what you already have. Jessica, if after 30/40 yrs of marriage and she want amend the prenup then go for it.

  19. Yes Jessica should get a pre nup she didnt get one before and she lost alot of money. She needs to learn from her mistakes and take a prenup. She knows only too well that sometimes things dont last forever
