Body By Glamour: Workout Routine
Get your heart pumping and jumping.
It’s not enough to just have a healthy diet. Our metabolism slows down as we get older so it’s important to develop an exercise routine that helps boost our metabolism by burning calories to start shedding those unwanted pounds.
Before starting any weight loss or exercise program you should consult your doctor.
Celebrity fitness expert Teddy Bass is telling us how to get in shape with an easy at-home exercise regime.
EXERCISE 1: SIDE PLANK (1 SET OF 8 REPS)
Lie on your left side with feet and hips stacked and prop yourself up on left forearm, right arm straight down at side. Then slowly raise hips off floor as high as you can, contracting left side of ab; pause. Slowly lower to starting position and repeat
• By doing this exercise consistently and correctly it will lean out your shoulders, waist and oblique.
EXERCISE 2: TWISTED SIDE SIT UPS (1 SET OF 8 REPS)
Lie on your back with legs straight out on the floor, left hand behind head, right arm on floor straight out at shoulder height. Then lift shoulder off floor and bring right knee in, twisting left elbow to right knee as you bring upper body all the way into a sit-up; lower.
• In addition to shrinking your waist and chiseling your abdominals this exercise helps tighten your triceps.
EXERCISE 3: DIPS (1 SET OF 8 REPS)
With your back to a chair, place hands on seat edge and walk feet out, keeping butt just a few inches from the chair. Slowly bend elbows and lower butt straight down toward the floor until elbows are bent about 90 degrees. Press back up.
• One of the most common problem areas for women are their triceps and delts. By doing these chair dips you’ll help tighten those problem areas.
• This exercise is perfect for Bingo wings.
EXERCISE 4: BICEP CURL/SHOULDER PRESS (1 SET OF 8 REPS)
Stand with feet hip-width apart, knees soft, arms by sides, holding a dumbbell in each hand, palms facing up. From this position, slowly curl weights toward your shoulders; lower.
• This particular combination of exercises helps women achieve lean sculpted arms.
EXERCISE 5: SQUATS WITH A TWIST (1 SET OF 8 REPS)
Start standing hip width apart and weight centered on your foot, holding the dumbbells in each hand by your side. Start to lower your body as if sitting in a chair, chest forward, glutes back and feel weigh shift into the heels, lower to 90% and return to standing raising the weights over head and twisting to the right as if reaching to put something away in the cabinet. Repeat and got the other side.
• Squats are a great full body exercise, working your shoulders, obliques, glutes, thighs and hamstrings for an overall fit appearance.
EXERCISE 6: SINGLE LEG BRIDGES FOR YOUR BUTT (1 SET OF 8 REPS)
Lie on your back, knees bent, feet about six inches from your butt. Lift right leg straight up (not arching back) and slowly press hips off floor as high as you can; pause, then lower hips (but not your leg).
• Another great total body exercise which improves overall health and fitness by strengthening the hamstrings, gluets, abs and calves.

I love this work out it has helped me lose so much weight that, I have had a really hard time trying to loose all thee baby weight after I had my first son Christian who I Love So Much he is the light of my life. But I could have done without the extra extra baby fat.

This workout is working great for me. It was so difficult to stick with an exercise that I had to dedicate to 30 minutes a day and yet I didn’t have the time. But now when I watched this on your show I was in relief because I can finally do something and yet it CAN do a lot for you. Thank you so much for putting up ideas like this. Your a great person in this world. Keep up the excellent work!!

I have been doing these fun workout exercises since I seen them on you show! Thank YOU so much! This is just what I was in search for a routine simple and to the point. I can actually do these exercises without my little children getting under my feet like they would with the aerobics DVD I’d work out to. The exercises you’ve shown are much safer for my home and I actually want to do more of them! Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!

This sigment was great .Great exercise tips loved it but what about your insides alot of us don’t have time to eat all the right fruits and vegetables so its great to take vitamins we can trust for us and our children.Nutrilite have the best vitamins check out kdobsons.com to find out more about these vitamins you will not regret it.Think of your body as a luxury car you would put the best fuel in that car right? so why not the best vitamins for your body. Just something to think about.

Hi Wendy, I’ve just recently started to watch your show and I have to say I’ve become a Wendy Williams fan. You crack me up because your so real. I feel like I’m in my kitchen with a girl friend when you start speaking. My favorite part of the show is Ask Wendy. I love the advise you give or sometimes don’t give. Again it’s so real. Your not a phony and that’s what I love.

Dear Wendy, I really think you are a down to earth person and hope to someday meet you. You are a real person who people can relate to not like other talk show celebs. Not that they aren’t good, just some have forgotten where they came from. So please keep it real like you do. I love that you embrass all shape, color and sizes. I have a ideal that you might want to think about. Celebs lookalike might be fun. Get to see regular people look like stars. Wonder who would look like you. Loved the evercise training tips today.
