Wendy Show Remix: Wendy’s Back, Back Again!

It’s been way too long. Wendy’s back from vacation and started things off with a bang.

Bethenny Frankel showed off her bling and Stacy London walked the walk.

Bret Michaels and James Brolin were extra sexy. Chad Ochocinco made the ladies swoon and Terrell Owens came back for more.

We celebrated Wendy’s 46th birthday and a very special someone delivered a special surprise.

  1. I too did not like Ochocinco. When TMZ asked him why no Back girls he replied it was because he was a man of class and distinction !! He said nothing about preference or attractiveness but only implied that he wanted the Balck females off the show to give himself an image of class/raise his” status” ( in his view). This is like the doll test of the 1950′s ( a reflection self-hatred) The producers wanted to include an equal number from various races and he had a tantrum. Allowing a few Black girls after being begged to do so.

    A bad message to send to his daughter/kids. It is a double standard anyway since white dating shows are not worried about including minorities.
    I think it is great that you and Tyra include/appreciate a diverse group of people on yur shows.

  3. Hi, Wendy: I wish you a great birthday, many blessings, good times and good health. I watched your new shows last week (so great you are running new stuff when everyone else just airs reruns all summer, so thanks!) and saw where you talked about going for your mammogram. I have to say I got emotional when you did because I just happened to have the exam last week. For those who haven’t gone through it, maybe they don’t understand that it can be upsetting and not an easy thing to go through. Actually, I got upset in the middle of having my mammogram. Not my first time having one, but first time I got that upset. I had to stop and try to get myself together. I was lucky to have a great technician, a patient and kind person who calmed me down. I’m really grateful to her and I hope you have the same luck because having someone like that doing the test makes a big difference. The main reason I got upset is that, whenever I go take the test, I am reminded of my mom, who is a breast cancer survivor. She’s been doing well for the last 6 years since her diagnosis. She got through that tough time, thank God. I hope and pray everything will work out well with your mammogram. You know you’ve got so many people praying for you and wishing you good health and good luck. By the way, my sister and I were in your audience last year and you are even lovelier in person and we thought it was really sweet how you engaged with the audience (stood right by us!) during commercial breaks. We know not every talk show host does that. Again, wishing you a happy birthday and many more happy, healthy ones!.

I wanted to comment the other day on Oprah when you said you seen her, Oprah may have forgotten how her show began but I haven’t, it was wild and full of controversy and folks getting call b**ches and the N word and everything else in between, I guarantee Oprah knows about every good talk show host and trust and believe she has heard of you probably from Gail. you may be a guilty pleasure, if she hasn’t really forgotten where she comes from then I’m looking forward to Oprah coming on your show or you being on your her show. Also Whitney the Houston too. its coming , did you ever think what you may have dislike as a child people love and your now becoming famous for unique ways and look. U Go Girl!!!

  13. Wendy; I so loved Friday’s show with your parents. When you came out crying I too cried. Why were we crying again? (smile) Love your spirit and your wit.
    I know these came from your mom who is just too cute for words. But; I cried even harder when little Kevin came out with your 2 seater bike you had been wishing for. Now a quote from the Bible that is fitting for your birthday would be…………….

  19. I really hate Chad Johnson’s show. Wendy, you stated your points about his lack of black women on the show. I understand this is pure entertainment but on every VH1 dating show, the black man have to have a greater mix of races to keep the attention of the demographic. On Tiffany Pollard’s (NY from Flavor of Love) she had a diverse mix but they(non black) were allowed to openly say “I’m just here for TV”. Are we sending a subliminal message to the young women growing up to just be pretty dummies & go on a un “reality” show to get a rich athlete? T.O. show is pitiful as well.

  20. Lov the show! I look forward to catching you late nite on BET! Since I’m a nighthawk…you coming on at midnite in my market area (Southwest Va ) suites me just fine…. As a older , (50) and taller 6ft, young lady, I can relate to alot of issues you might of experience growing up, but thru atheletics, my height was used to my advantage, (college b-ball player) and I’m a youthful looking 50 !!!!!! Like they say ..Black don’t crack!!!! lol
