Hot Topic: Judgements. I thought your statements regarding homeshoolers was very careless and uninformed and damaging. Just as there are some goods and some bad in all groups and walks of people, you failed to speak on the positives and/or those who are homeschooling with great accomlishments, i.e the Chinese family highlighted in then news recently who homeschooled, both the children (still in their teens) are currently attending medical school, have the respect of the adults around them and was commented on their maturity they, even more so then the adults with whom they attend class with. In all honesty, socialization is a non issue. Homeschoolers merely teach their children that interaction does not have to come from those solely in the same age group, they interact with people across the ages, thus having better social skills then most public/private school kids. Our homeschooling children are friends with the children on our block who attend public school, they interact and socialize with our church community, we gather and socialize with extended family; they even have a small business, whereby they must socialize in order to generate customers, which they have. As for your careless statement about vaccinations, not all homeschools opt out. Many still do get the shots for there children, but some do not due to the link with autisum and other behavioral issues noticed immediately after getting the shots. A bright person would not and should not make such general statements without informed knowledge on all levels. That is like saying all blacks are lazy! Some are and some are not. As a result of this showing, I am no longer a viewer of your show. Blessing to you.

Wendy, I home school my little girl and socialization is not a problem nor an issue. Please do your home work on home schooling or maybe even get to know children that are home schooled. They are no different than those that go to school.
