I love you Johnny Weir. I love watching you skate and I love that you just be yourself. You are a GREAT, FANTASTIC role model for all kids and Adults. Also for those who fall somewhere in between. Always be true to yourself and your talent. You are beautiful both inside and outside. Thank you for having Johnny on your show Wendy because just like you Johnny Weir is FAB YOU LOUS !!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOW YOU DOO WIN?

I don’t think there is hatred between these guys, but the media is certainly trying to create it. I didn’t understand why Wendy would put Johnny on the spot (or anyone for that matter) by reading such belittling comments on the show.
I don’t think these guys have spent much time thinking about each other beyond worrying about how they will do in competitions. Since the Olympics, with the media hammering away, perhaps things have changed.
Everyone who follows skating knows that Evan’s comments about Johnny and SOI were inaccurate. It read like Evan was not doing a good job in that interview in hiding envy of Johnny ……..

Its sad that Johnny Weir who is a phenomenal skater and who skated in the Olympics has never been asked to skate in the Stars On Ice but Johnny Weir you keep your head up because your phenomenal and great things are going to always happen for you!

Love the show! But I have a question, did you mean to cut Johnny when you SEE YOU AT A REST STOP N JERSEY? Ohhh Messy

Thanks so much Wendy and producers for bringing Johnny Weir to the show!!! I have been asking for months for you to have him on. I think Evan Lysachek is a stuck up phony snob and he should keep his trap shut. If you’ve got nothing nice to say… I guess I should take my own advice – HA HA. Seriously though, Evan seems like a primadonna and Johnny is “real”. His career will soar well beyond Evan’s. Love love love Johnny!

Johnny is a comlete original. There is no one else like him plain and simple. Evan is wonderful as well. A well deserved Olympic Gold Medalist. There is plenty of room for both of them in skating and entertainment.

Gays like to be glamorous. I love some of his outfits and his personality. He is lucky to be so talented, otherwise he would fall into the gay community a little unnoticed. Now he’s fab and people watch him.

not just entertainers, but ball players, doctors, lawyers, etc., etc.

in other words, if they had a ’straight’ talent or ice skating show and performed a polygraph on each participant before they could enter, there probably wouldnt be a show.

i feel… um… how do i say this… i feel 98% of entertainers are… hmmmm… i dont think its a good idea to always “capitalize” on sexuality when actually there are so many. thats like having a Gay Talent Show, lol lol lol. its redundant, in a sense.
LOVE

Although I do not totally approve of what Evan says; I feel he is just stating his opinion. Noone should be surprised that they (evan and Johnny) don’t like each other because they are competitors. And maybe in his opinion Johnny has whined. Now that being said I love BOTH Johnny and Evan and wish them the best; especially Johnny because of all the B.S. that the Olympics did to him.

Hey Wendy,
Good show again!! Okay..now onto Jonny Weird…I think he is a great skater. I also feel like he has brought so much attention to his sexuality than his skating.
The big turn off for me and others is the, “look at me’, look at me in all my flaming glory and tacky tiaras and fury costumes. As far as Stars on ice not wanting him I think it was more they didn’t want all the drama and flakiness from Werid. It’s good he got his own show. He should’ve capitalized on his sexuality and did a Gay Starz on Ice with Rudy Galindo and other Gay ice skaters. Market yourself accordingly.
Larry
PS
The interview was entertaining

ive lost all faith in mankind because of this hatred
Wednesday April 28th, 2010 at 1:59 pm
i take my hat off to this young dude. he must be a very strong fellow to withstand that, because i know TOO WELL. multiply that by one thousand and it would be like the hood is against that. he’s strong because he can still smile and hold a pleasant conversation with a talk show host, i dont think i could do it without cussing, lol, its a tough road to hold. i take my hat off to him.
GOD BLESS YOU, JOHHNY WEIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wednesday April 28th, 2010 at 12:36 pm
Wendy- while I think you are entertaining you have become just another safe talk show host… i see what you are trying to do with your career but you come across as phony and not being the true wendy..basically you’re doing a lot of ass kissing and that’s’ not you but if you want to sell out to succeed that’s your business..

Ya knowwwwwww…I cant believe that Mr. Weir consistantly has 2 deal with all the catty crap he tolerates. Homophobes r haters, and i hate haters. Wendy, please tell Johnny 2 carry a large can of Raid with him, and just spray the roaches that wanna try 2 demean him. I hate it. I think he is a BEAUTIFUL skater. The flash and sizzle makes it a must c when he hits the ice, and he’s the prettiest man! Just cute, AND extremely talented. He’s a joy 2 watch, and i think he should stop acknowledging the words thrown at him! Time 2 rise above, and ignore them. They expect him 2 be responsive, so just pull the plug. Keep doin’ U Johnny, its fabulous!
Wendy..introduce him to Carson..he’ll show him the REAL way 2 deal with it all!!!!
