Casting Mariah
“Precious” director Lee Daniels had his mind set on casting actress Helen Mirren in his award winning film, but she was working on another movie.
Lee has been friends with Mariah Carey for years and tells Wendy how he ended up casting Mariah in “Precious.”

Didn’t expect Lee’s reaction to your request to remove his sunglasses, it was a bit tacky but his personal, self-disclosure caught you Wendy, absolutely speechless, rare Kodak moment.
Wonder what Mr.Daniels has in store for further endeavors. Guess he’s on a hiatus from the glory of Precious, I wrote a story as I visualized it about eight years ago that I would love to see on film, since Mr.Daniels prefers the unconventional art form. I think Daniels is fantastic. Mariah was superb. Love that he came out way back on your show. His exploiting the “10 girls” comment was his own comfort level (I hope they got some sort of consolation prize) maybe he and Oprah exploited Gavy.
J.Lo was on the 6 train. Rosie Perez…..”click the camera” on Dora…she’s still “street”. Queen Latifah, Mary J……..Amy Winehouse………all time “fav” Courtney Love…………….everyone has a story…….there are pleny that didn’t sound like Gavy, he wouldn’t have been exploiting those girls, he would have made them a Rosie Perez…….Gavy was just more suitable.

Where did you buy the couch on your set? Is it comfortable?
