Why Was Emilio Estevez a No Show at the Oscars?

An Oscar Tribute.

Molly Ringwald has starred in classic 80′s films like “The Breakfast Club” and “Sixteen Candles” and was at the Oscars this past weekend to pay tribute to the late director John Hughes.

Find out why her former co-star Emilio Estevez was a no show at the Oscars.

Take a look.

  1. Everybody is on Emilio Estevez, Where was Andrew McCarthey???

  2. Maybe Emilio Estevez wants to think ahead with his movie career. I don’t think he wants to look back to 1984 or 1985, when Breakfast Club was huge. Some ’80s stars are like that, wanting to leave their old stuff in the vaults for 20 years, then look back at it again. I think his memories of John Hughes are so personal that he didn’t want to talk about it in public.

  3. I love molly,i’ve seen alot of her movies, my daughter and i watch her on secret life every week! my favorite movie with her was ‘THE BREAKFAST CLUB’!

My name is Shellie and I am a 37 years old wife and mother of 4 and a first time grandma.
I lived in Richmond VA and I started watching you show when it started airing at night on BET.
Well to say the least the first show was good but not great to me. I had to keep watching more shows to see how you took to me. Well I say we are stuck like band-aids cause Im watching every night and in the mornings before work the re brocasted show. Lol! HOW YOU DOING?!
I love the outfit that you worn tonight (march 11, 2010). I do have one of those wrap/tie/belt it up sweaters (avon). You looked great.
I also enjoyed your guess Molly. I have most of her movies and I love her in everyone of them. My favorites are 16 candles and she having a baby. Im pleasure that Hollywood is letting her grow up.
Please tell Molly for me that I love her now as I loved her growing up and Im glad to have her in the mommy world with me.
    God Bless
P.s. the vinegar to trap the flies didnot work for me last summer AS they didn’t work on stage for you. :D

  6. You did not come on in Illinois at 11:00pm on fox 32. What happened? They had some other shows on replacing you. I want to watch your show.

  7. This isn’t about Molly but more so about the pic you had up of Mel B & her daughter….The pic that was shown on your show wasn’t of Mel & Angel(Eddie’s daughter) It was of her oldest daughter Phoenix, who has a different father. Here’s the pic I’m sure was meant to be shown of Mel B & Angel Murphy Brown

I love you and your show.
    And that hair girl!!!
But I just wanted to let you
know I LOVE your outfit today.
The color is Beauiful and you wear it well !!!!!
That is my favorite color. And it so hard to find
    all season wear in that.

    Keep Sparling

  9. Nobody was offended not even Molly about the reference, “ginger”, to red heads.
The term Ginger on the show was in reference to the color of the hair.
Nobody mentioned anything or compared the term Ginger with Satan. Your previous bad experience with the term is why YOU have a problem with it. Keep your bad experiences to yourself instead of putting them on others. I’ll take Ginger anyday over Ronald Mcdonald.

  10. hi wendy, how you doin
green is definitely your color. today you were looking your best ever. your hair, the outfit…….everything was well put together. keep it up

  11. Hey wendy,
How you doin? That is nice you like to talk about your age because its just a number but a number you are proud of and to say to Millions of people .People should be proud of there age because it let’s you know your doing the right things in life and not the wrong things in life. You can also in joy live and not end-up taking you live at a young age. Take time to grow and Enjoy.

    Janie, Take care!

  12. OK I am watching the show and I live in NC (BK native and aching to go back home) and we are still wearing jackets why are all the guest showing up in sandals. Didnt NY just have 10 inches of snow on the ground.
    Love the show Wendy!

  13. Hey Wen,
wanted to correct you on the photo of Mel B and daughter that was a older child from a previous relationship the child she has with Eddie Murphy is a toddler maybe about 2-3 years old.

  14. As a red-head with 2 red-haired children I have heard the term “ginger head/hair” used in a derogatory manner. It seems it should be a cute term and maybe it once was, but somehow that has changed. In fact, the show South Park, which likes to insult all kinds of different peoples, did an episode about “Ginger” kids and the term was absolutely used as an insult. BTW my kids are adorable.
Thanks to those who brought up the Mel B./ Eddie M child discrepancy.
And I too wonder why, Wendy, you refer to your age so much. I wish society would start putting less of an emphasis on age. You, and all women, are beautiful no matter what age we are. We are not beautiful “despite” out ages.
And as for your last comment on Kate Gosselin saying she needs to make money for her family and “going back to nursing” just wouldn’t cut it .By my estimate Kate would have worked as a nurse for less than 2 years and maybe even not quite 1 year. As a nurse for over 20 years who has to support 4 kids, 2 of who have autism, I find her comments insulting and I don’t believe she would be able to go back to nursing if she wanted to (without a lot of re-education) and she clearly has tasted too much of “the good life” to ever want to. Besides, nursing is a givng, caring and noin-narcissistic endeavor. Thanks!

  15. Hey Lovely Wendy Gaby will appear on the HBO show the Big C not the Big O Love you madly

  16. WENDY ! THAT GIRL U SHOWED TODAY AS MEL B AND EDDIES DAUGHTER WAS NOT THEIR DAUGHTER TOGETHER. THEIR DAUGHTER TOGETHER IS NAMED ANGEL, THE GIRL U SHOWED WAS PHOENIX !! THX GIRL !!

  17. Nice interview w/Molly but please be careful of the use of “ginger” when referring to red heads. In much of the world the phrase “Ginger haired” is used a derogatory term. My Italian/British 14-year old godson who is 6-feet tall, gorgeous, athletic, smart, and not phased by anything was brought to tears when a girl at his expensive, private expat school showed a website at school that was extremely negative about people with ginger hair even comparing them to Satan. It was innocent on the part of the girl but extremely hurtful to my godson and other kids with “ginger” hair.

I too have heard the increased use of the word “ginger” I only hope it is being used in a cute complimentary manner. We have enough negative stereotypes to over come in this country and we don’t need any more.

BTW – How youuu doin’? Love the show. You make working from home fun!

  18. Wendy,
Whle I love your show, especially the HOT Topics, you made an error today. The picture with Mel B and her daughter was not the child she has with Eddie Murphy. That was her oldest 10 year old. The child with E.M. is only 2 and was born in April 2007. Please check your facts throughly, You have made those mistakes before, but you usually correct them quickly. Also, why do you mention your age so much??

  19. Wow, Wendy!!! You look flyyyyy! Cute look.
