Lance Gross and Tyler Perry are good friends and Tyler treats his friends very well.

Tyler chartered a yacht with Oprah recently and invited a bunch of his friends to join him on the high seas.

  1. about the comment about Forrest Whittaker, lol, and the skinny appearance. i also notice he’s glamorous smiles on motion picture, he’s been so deep into “directing” he may have a struggle capturing his reel self on film. i thought chasing that car or whatever seemed so glamorous, so glossy. if he were a more direct actor he’d deliver some soulful stuff, but i think he’s more of a director. a behind the scenes type of personality. it was fun to read you sayin that about him, lol. thanks.

  7. I just have to say that Lance Gross shirt was Gross. Scraps of fabric all sown together is what it seemed like to me. Just my opinion. He is a very talented actor.
    That Dan Rather comment was just all sorts of wrong don’t care how you look it at intentional or not. Think before ya speak.

  8. First – That was an awesome animal print dress you wore on the show with Paulina Porizkova on 3/10 – and your eye shadow was really perfect – you should have done more close-ups. I just got back from “the McAfee sisters wild weekend” when I tuned in to your show and saw your animal print. My 2 sisters and my Mom went to Palm Springs and wore animal print scarves, bags, & glasses to celebrate my Mom’s 85th birthday. I wish I could continue that weekend on your show. How you doin’ ?

    Have you been watching American Idol?
    Crystal Bowersox reminds me of Janis Joplin and after seeing the TAMI show If you
    give him a haircut Max from T.M.Z. looks a lot like Dennis Wilson.
    When you were speaking with Lance Gross I was thinking I hope Wendy tells Lance Gross to suggest to Tyler Perry to make a movie about Slyvester and Tyler
    should portray him, in my opinion that would be the role that Mr Perry would win
    best actor at the Oscars.
    Wendy imagine if he won then he would use his great generosity and take the entire Wendy Show on one of his lavish cruises.
    Maybe there would be an extra room for yours-truly I am beginning to forget what
    luxury is.

  10. I was appalled by your opening comments today on your show. Perhaps it is just your ignorance, but stating that somebody is articulate is in no way an insult or condescending. I am a Speech Pathologist and I use Obama’s speech as an example to many clients. It has nothing to do with the color of his skin. Articulation has to do with the clarity of his speech. Obama uses appropriate rate, volume and intonation when speaking. He pauses at important times to allow the listener time to reflect. He makes appropriate facial expressions and has eye contact that draws in the listener. These are all qualities of an excellent speaker. How could stating that an individual is a nice speaker be an insult??? So a black person can never be called articulate? You are tired are people discriminating? Did you not discriminate against old people in that very same sentence?

  15. Wendy did you c the pics of the premiere, what is up with Forest Whittaker’s weight? I know his wife is super skinny but they are starting to look alike, hallowed in. I am just saying if that was a female the media would be all over it, I liked him bigger.

  17. I always thought that Tyler Perry was a giving and humble person. He has been up and way down and has never forgot his earlier life. It’s great that he appreciate his friends in such a manner. It would be even greatier if he would appreciate a fan in the same manner sometimes(vacation with Tyler P.) , keeping it really real.

  19. Hi Wendy, watching the show today. This has nothing to do with Tyler Perry. WENDY STOP THE MADDNESS!! I watched the glitch on Dan Rather and his comment on President Obama. My “first impression.” he was correct and I agree that President Obama has a really hard time selling anything, My husband came in the kitchen and I repeated what he had said and he agreed. It wasn’t until I really looked at the context before I understood what you had meant, “he really stuck his foot in his mouth.” Then, I thought of the word “watermelon.” Wendy, “sometimes a watermelon is just a watermelon!” I watched Dan Rather for years on the news, I watched his reports concerning blacks, hispanics, jewish, etc and NEVER EVER thought of him as being biggoted in any way. Could it be that a watermelon is just BIG and he felt Obama could not sell something as obvious as a big ‘ol watermelon? If there was a connotation, even subconscious I think we have to stop pointing out, or continuing the association of certain words which could be construed as racist. Our country is one, one nation under God, one people. Maybe Dan Rather’s first though when it comes to selling is simply selling watermelon’s. Now me, I may have said, “he can’t sell umbrellas on a rainy day in London. Now, am I anti Brit? thanks
