MONEY TO HAITI EARTHQUAKE

Wendy, I watch the show everyday (not pleased with all that time off you’ve had, missing you!) anyway. On yesterday’s show you talked about Haiti and told us all how we could help through Wycleaf Jean’s charity organization. Of course i donated immediately, only to find this article today. Please share this with your viewers:
Wyclef Jean’s Charity a Sham?
In the wake of the Haitian earthquake, Wyclef Jean’s charity, the Wyclef Jean Foundation, is expected to raise $1 million per day. But would do-gooders be better off sending their money elsewhere? The Smoking Gun looks at the Foundation’s funny money. For one, the company has only given the IRS returns for the years 2005, 2006, and 2007, despite being incorporated 12 years ago. In 2006, the Foundation reported donations of $1 million (most of which came from People magazine). $31,200 of that money went in rent to a recording studio owned by a foundation board member; $100,000 was paid to Wyclef Jean for his performance at a benefit concert (why did he need to be paid to perform at his own charity’s fundraiser?); and $250,000 went to a for-profit Haitian company in which Jean and a foundation board member are said to “own a controlling interest.”

Hello, Wendy
I have In-Laws in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti, And it’s very sad to see the what they are going though. I’m proud to see what Americans and the other counties are doing to help Haiti. I send my prays out to Haiti and my family. I know it will take awhile, But I hope that things would get better for them soon…And I know god will be watching over the ones that was lost!!!!
P.S. To all that can help… PLEASE, donate something because you never know when we might be in a similar position.

Hi Wendy!
HOWUDOING? LOL… Love the show, but like anything in life, there is room for improvement. Don’t get me wrong, your show works for you, but please consider adding other elements from time to time so that your viewers get more variety. Since Oprah is leaving tv soon, why not consider adding a bookclub? You & your audience would really have a ball with that, and I think your first selection should be one of your own books, or my favorite: “THE NEXT BEST THING” by Deidre Berry. Love you, gir! Ewwwww!! XOXO

Hi Wendy,
I love the “tell it like it is” in you! HOWEVER, I really feel that you should STOP saying that you are a true fatty. Seriously? What are you like an 8/10? 12 max.
You can make a “real fatty” feel even fatter, simply by looking at you. Therefore you are contributing to the ever so present fat girl image issues!
There are no intertube belly rolls, double chins, church lady arms or kankles on you!! Girl pluheeeeeeez…nothing about you constitutes fat!!!

Welcome back. I just want to commend you for picking up the torch for Haiti and mention Yele as your preferred agency for donations. I am not of Haitian decent but Wyclef is a great humanitarian and without a doubt he has been there before the tragedy and will be there after the tragedy loses media coverage.
I would like to comment on the Red Cross. I do not understand how this organization can continue to get the “lead” in these disasters after their despicable behavior in past tragedies. Does anyone remember how little of the Hurricane Katrina money actually went to the families versus the % that went to the administrative costs? With the amount of money that was raised worldwide, New Orleans should look like Las Vegas by now but it does not. How about the same for the 911 families? They received very little of the money raised. I think it is absolutely disgusting how the Red Cross treats the victims.
Having said all of that, I would love it if you would put the organization Doctors without Borders on your preferred list and take the Red Cross off. These people need help not lip service.

Hi Wendy,
Love your show and I’m very happy that you are trying with Wyclef to get help to the people of Haiti, being from the Islands, I know how hard it is to get things back and fort to those people down there. But one of the things you said today on the show that I disagree with you on is that you keep saying that you do like Rihanna but I have never heard you say one good thing about that child it’s like it’s her fault that Chris Brown hash her face in. And to me that’s just sad that you are giving Chris Brown great commons on your show and everytime you get a chances to brake Rihanna down you and your staff you guys jump on it. I know it’s all about rating but why as woman we are all so anger it Rihanna who was the victim. Rihanna is not dark she is sad the man she loved and trusted broke her hreat in front of the whole world, please stop tearing that young ladie down.

Dear Mrs. Wendy,
First of all…..HOW U DOIN’?????
My name is Kelly Dukes and my brother, Bret Dukes, is a Correctional Officer Lieutenant at North Florida Reception Center in Lake Butler, Florida. He will know tomorrow if he is leaving for Haiti to bring inmates back to the United States. If he must go, please have him in your prayers. His wife is a 3rd grade teacher and his three children are 17, 10 and 1 1/2. This may be a premature request, but in my opinion, praying is never premature. Thank you so much, Wendy. Your show is absolutely WONDERFUL!
Thank you,
Kelly R. Dukes
