Last week in Hot Topics Wendy called on all of us to redefine what is beautiful and sent an email to her Fan Squad members asking how they define beauty.

Find out how the “Wendy Show” audience defines beauty and tell us your definition.

Cherri, Maryland: My definition of beauty is being at peace with yourself; inner peace provides internal beauty, which translates to and is reflected on all dress/pant sizes.

Caren, Florida: I think beauty is having a positive attitude about yourself. And the ability to let your inner-beauty shine through!

Gloria, Maryland: Beauty is feeling confident and happy in the folds of your skin…whatever the color, size or shape. You wear it in your smile, your thoughts and deeds. Beauty is personal NOT commercial!

Helen, D.C.: I think beauty is the love in your heart and love you show to everyone.

Dot, New York: Beauty is defined as having compassion for others, loving yourself and others, not taking life too seriously, having fun, staying healthy and respecting your body.

Rose, Virginia: Beauty is your inner strength. It’s your character. It’s what everyone has to deal with when interacting with you. It has nothing to do with your dress size. As we know not everyone is a size “0.”

Tell Us: How do you define beauty?

  1. Beauty is being able to accept your positives and negatives (both personality and physically). No one is fully satisfied with who they are, because no ones perfect, and it would not be a realistic thought. But to understand who you are,and love it.thats true beauty.

  2. Beauty is the aura of yourself. You have see the beauty in yourself and then you can see it in everything and everyone esle.

  3. Let your inner beauty be positive and it bring it on the outside.Think positive it play’s a main part in your life.

  4. My definiton, and the TRUE definiton, of beauty, is when a personcan wake up in the morning and be just as absolutely RAVISHING, as they were the night before out on the town, sans the make-up in the morning. =)

  5. Beauty comes from with in no matter what a person looks like on the outside he or she can be the most prettiest or the most handsome person you would ever want to meet or end up being friends with you know . Everyone can’t look good to everybody so just be happy with theway God made u thanks much Wendy LOVE LOVE your show

  6. . Iam not what you call a pretty lady but I know when i get dress and the way I carry my self I feel pretty. I love me!

  7. I THINK THAT BEAUTY IS SKIN DEEP IT’S NOT WHAT ON THE OUTSIDE OF A PERSON BUT WHAT’S ON THE INSIDE THE SAD THING IS THAT SOCIETY TODAY JUDGES THE BEAUTY BY THE OUTSIDE OF A PERSON. IF I WAS JUDGED JUST FROM THE OUTSIDE I’D LOSE.

  8. besides grow your hair out just look pretty like you are ……………..

  9. i dont have a wig at all i have real native amrican hair is not tracks im born with it

  10. Ilove your show an try to watch it everyday. It helps me with my depression by getting me out of the bed. I see you and wish I could be smaller, and look fresh instead of a wrinkled brown or very light beige sack. I will keep watching an hope you have something on depression linked with pain. That is what I have but mainly my problem is caused by many operations from breast cancer an knee replacements.

I try very hard not to complain but my family says it shows in my face and actions. I have peripheral neuropathy in my legs an hands, caused by diabetes. I keep going because I have a lot of blessings in my life. I have a wonderful husband, who likes to watch you too,ans two wonderful sons, that we adopted when they were two an three months old. I was unable to have children.

Beautiful to me is something that comes from within you. I guess one could say it is a stat of mine. We need to stop looking on the outside of people to find beautiful. A great deal of prayer also helps in making one beautiful.

  11. BEAUTY is Bold.Entergetic. Awesome. Ugly only if u perceive it. Tantilizing. Yearnig for more. thanx Wendy for being you! You have truly blessed my life and i pray I meet you not someday but soon.

  12. i think beauty is when you have a good hair day and you have clothing on that fix you. and make up to due.

  13. My Definition of beauty is self actualization. That includes, knowing how to love yourself, being sexually honest, inner beauty. The materialistic aspect is just that. I am lucky that I am attractive so it is easy for me to self actualize myself. I do not worry about hair, make-up, jewelry, clothes. I can jsut be myself and could,’t care less who likes it or likes what comes out of my mouth.I am not in charge of their feeling so it is easy to concentrate on my needs.

  14. PHYSICAL LOOKS THAT ARE INHERITED THERE IS NOTHING WE CAN ABOUT THAT EXCEPT MAKE THE BEST OF IT GOOD OR BAD. BUT INNER BEAUTY WE CAN CONTROL,INHANCE ,MAKE IT BETTER THAT IS WHAT AFFECTS HOW YOU LOOK. LOOKS ARE THE INTIAL ATTRACTION BUT INNER BEAUTY MEZMERIZES YOU ! MAKES YOU HAVE ONLY EYES FOR THAT PERSON IT NEVER GOES AWAY OR FADES NO FACELIFT,BOTOX OR ANY OTHER SURGERY REQUIRED! ITS FREE AND WOTH EVERY PENNY!!

  15. i think it mean what in the inside you have a great heart and everything good on the inside the outside will be as b.e.a.U.TIFUL like you and me wendy how you doinnnnnnn

  16. Beauty comes from the inside.

  17. Beauty………OK………hmmmm. Speaking as someone who has been in the *Beauty Industry* for over 25 years I would have to say that I still don’t know for sure. I am not beautiful, per se, but I can make you think I am by what I do to my appearance. And many times I have been told I am beautiful, but still, I find it hard to embrace. When I look around me at the models I see their physical beauty is beyond what most of us mear mortals experience. For the most part they do have beautiful lives, they are mostly sweet and lovely because their physical beauty brings the best of this world to their feet. So there are the models and then there are the rest of us who need to work a little harder, from the inside out, everyday, because sometimes life is not so nice. But, I think that is where the true beauty comes from. It comes from living life and facing up to it, no matter what. After life and the world has had it’s way with you, then whatever is within shines forth, and that is true beauty. It’s like the Velveteen Rabbit………you gotta be loved on, get your fur rubbed off and thrown away before you find that indomitable spirit within yourself, and then, there is grace, and it’s the grace that we develope as we navigate this life that makes us truly beautiful.
