Tall Gal Shoe Envy
Growing up, finding the right sized pair of shoes was always a challenge for Wendy and now finally she has someone to commiserate with.
Funny lady Judy Gold wears a size 12, don’t judge, and dreaded going to the shoe store when she was younger.
Turns out, Wendy used to go to the same store!
Tell Us: All you tall girls, where do you get your shoes?

Hey Wendy..I loved hearing about tall women with big feet. Im 5’10″ and wear a 12-12.5ish…I live in a hole in the road town and I can never find anything in my size thats not ugly or for ladies in the 90′s. Or if they are halfway cute they are like so outrageous in price that I end up wearing mens shoes..I found that torrid.com has alot of cute shoes up to a 13. Payless.com has a pretty descent selection. I think the comment on you having your own shoe line would be awesome I would definately buy those. How you doin!? PS…Love your show!!!!

Wendy, Thanks for having this segment on your show. You are a fantastic lady who has opened up the air ways for tall women with large feet. I wear a size 12 also and can go to a 13. There aren’t any shoe stores in this area, that I am aware of, that carry nice looking shoes for my size. It’s like marketers think we don’t like cute shoes!!! Go Figure! My cousin in Grand Rapids, Mi. sends me shoes all of the time from Nordstroms’ Rack and that is about the only store that I have found that has nice looking, stylish shoes in my size. I go there when I am in town also. I wish someone in Jackson. MS would open up a nice shoe store for ladies sizes 11 and up. It is hard to find these sizes in the south. Are you interested in having your own line of shoes for us “Tall Ladies? We would rally for you!!!!! Thanks Wendy, and “How u doin?” Nida

Hello all, Nordstroms has a fantastic selection of large size shoes. They also have large size shoe events throughout the year where they bring in shoes from all of the stores to their Nordstroms Rack location to sell. Another location online is 6pm.com. You can find daily specials on this site.

Wendy I’ll bet you didn’t know Jamaica, Queens had a shoe store row right off Jamaica Avenue ( shopping mecca) and there was a tall girl’s shoes there too. I shopped there and Florsheim also had size 11m shoes for women. I was cramin’ my feet into size 10 in school until I came to my senses……lol.

I found some really fantastic buys there. Also, a lot of shoe cats. carry great styles andcome in many many sizes. I am the mail order queen and I just LOVE LOVE LOVE shopping this way!

Wendy, I love you BUT!!! I wear a 12.5-13M size shoe and sooooo wanted to hear where J Gold buys her shoes. With pen and paper in hand, I listened so intently ONLY to hear about you and NY Tall Gals. Why didn’t you let her tell where she buys her shoes, so we tall gals could get some info on where to buy stylish shoes – BEFORE – you spent the entire time talking about your trips to NY? DUH! Signed – DISAPPOINTED!

As I was cleaning this morning I always keep the Wendy show on the TV so I can have some fun while cleaning and at the end of the Judy Gold interview today Wendy said something SOOOO outrageously hilarious I stopped everything and went to record the episode and must have rewound that part 10 times and rolled around ALONE like a crazy person, laughing with tears pouring out of my eyes! Thank you SO much Wendy for making a brand new stay at home mommy still feel learned in the “hot topics” and having great guests but most importantly your personality shines and it always makes me happy no matter what when I turn the channel to Fox 4 here in Dallas and tune in. How you dooooooiiiin

I would like to set the record straight about the comment that was made by Wendy about Micheal Jackson nephews. For your information those young men have never had plastic surgey, nor is their hair processed. Those are the sons of Tito and Delores Jackson. Had you done your homework you would have known that his nephews are black and latino; which has everything to do with their appearance. But even if the comment was true, how could you of all people even make such a comment. You are by no means a stranger to plastic surgey, and even with all the work you have had done, you are still a very unattractive manly looking woman. You may be able to wear the best wigs, and receive all the plastic surgey that your money can buy, but the fact still remains that you look worse than Ru Paul. Get over yourself, do your homework before you try and talk about somebody, and please look at yourself before putting someone down.

If you shop online, try zappos.com, designershoes.com, and endless.com for women’s shoes 11-15. They have really beautiful shoes in all types.

Hey Wendy,
I’m not a 12 I’m a 9 1/2 or 10 (depending on who is making the shoe). However, I feel you, I have to buy all my shoes as soon as they come into the store; do not wait on the sale or your shoes will be gone

Hi Wendy,
I had the opportunity to catch your show today, 2/1/01 and was so excited to hear you talking about tall women with large feet. My daughter and I are both 5’11 and wear sizes 11 & 11W. We have such a difficult time finding nice shoes. We have lucked up a couple of times at Nordstroms and found an occasional pair on a few websites (Zappos & Maryland Square). However, none of the shoes we find ever look like the ones you wear. Your shoes are FIERCE! Our question to you is where do you purchase your shoes now? You were about to answer but were interrupted by someone in the audience laughing at your guest. PLEASE SHARE, WE WOULD BE EVER SO THANKFUL. My daughter is 22 and I’m 55 and we both LOVE SHOES, ESPECIALLY YOURS!! Thanks Wendy.
