Gay Super Bowl Ad Controversy
How you doin’?
Last week Wendy told us about the controversy surrounding Tim Tebow’s pro-life Super Bowl ad that CBS will air this Sunday, and today played a commercial for a gay men dating site, that CBS rejected.
Hear Wendy’s take on both of these ads and what she thinks about CBS rejecting the Man Crunch 30 second spot!
Tell Us: Do you think CBS should air this ad in the Super Bowl, or do you support their decision?

LOL!! It’s a funny ad! Doesn’t really tell me anything about the product…but I love it. It’s supposed to be funny. I mean, look at the other guys face!! LOL. It’s not all gross and humping and moaning. That would be offensive. Not just on Super Bowl Sunday but anyday. Homosexual or not. Worse things have been shown on CBS.
Also, CBS is not a religious network is it? So the bible shouldn’t even be refrenced in this argument. As a legal matter, they were well within their rights to not show something they thought was inappropriate. Socially, I think it’s a big deal. A major issue. Can this even be considered sexual content? I’ve seen less sexual make out scenes on Nikelodeon! So that’s not really the issue here I don’t think. However, they cut this either finding it offensive themselves, or assuming that their viewers would. And they don’t cut things like “Sex in the City, “Family Guy” or the commercials for obviously sexual things like “Cialis” or the many MANY sex hotlines. It’s a blatant double standard. Socially it’s unjust, unfair and…backwards.

I’m not saying the add was 100% appropriate for children to see whether it was male/male, male/female whatever…..But to the lady saying that she would disown her own children if they were gay….YOUR MESSED UP! AND YOU NEED HELP! That’s wrong….and I’m sure your “god” would think that to!
And to the other lady stating “they should stay in there gay community” etc etc. Do we ever say “you should stay in your black community”?! To someone who probably doesn’t like being called racial terms etc….how could you do this yourself!?? YOU MAKE ME SICK! You are in a different world lady! You call other people names to make yourself feel better because it has been happening to you your whole life! Get over yourselves people! It’s not all about you and your pitiful opinions!

Also wendy i find you as someone that is a great tv personality but a morallly sickening to promote sodomites and lesbian issues on your show. You can’t love your son if you don’t correct him when he goes wrong. Now when i see homosexuality being promoted by people like you i have toquestion why your doing that due to the fact that at your age you’ve been taught sometime in your life that is wrong. It’s not right for two men or woman to parade around as a couple;it goes against the very creation of the intentions of God because he told male and female to pro-create,not the other way around.Wendy,i truly love my children but i also want to be in God’s kingdom but if they so choose to go that route in there lives i would have to cut off that relationship with them. I would still love them but i’m not going down in God’s eyes for there sinful divers lust.Wendy don’t know how you do this thing you do,none of this is worth my salvation,i guess this is your heaven now.God bless you my sister and your family;read romans 1:18-32. Gaining the world is nothing like getting into the Father’s kingdom.

Planned Parenthood put a video up on You Tube to counter the Tim Tebow ad. It talks about how women are the best decision makers when it comes their family and health. It’s titled Sean James and Al Joyner Respond to the Tebow Super Bowl ad. Check it out.

I seen the commercial for the first time on your show Wendy and I was appalled at the number of people that didn’t see anything wrong with that commercial. It was utterly disgusting and made me sick to my stomach. I know no one personally that would disagree with me. Seeing your audience reaction made me so disappointed in my country. I thought that the majority of the people in my country had class and morals and I was wrong. That commercial to me was on a level of nastiness as a commercial of promoting beastiality in my objective opinion. It does however provide me with a sense of relief that a major network such as CBS and those with the NFL are against airing this. NO ONE in their right mind wants to see that crap in the middle of a family time show or ever to tell the truth. If you are gay let it be your business and stay within your gay community. And for the record, being gay is not the new black nor is it anywhere near or about to be! I as a black woman am more offended by that than being called the N word.

Hey GIrlie —How U Doin:
Okay: now this ad would have been inappropriate if it was a male/female: female/female or male/male
here’s why: you have all ages watching the super bowl together: just think your 9 year old, or even me (I’m 50 ish LOL), do not want or need to see two people all of the sudden kissing and slightly humpping on the couch and dig this on top of it you have a guest watching these two.
No wrong type of message our children see enough and I am glad that the advertisers has some morales as to say I don’t care if you do have the money this is not funny nor acceptable and I am not a stuck up person I am very open but enough is enough: Put that on late night …

It’s a tricky subject but there is a link here between football and latent homosexuality. If you’ve ever watched guys watch football you’ll know what I’m talking about. The comedy group Summer of Tears NAILED it in one of the funniest videos I have ever seen:

Hi. My comment is to Wendy, first I wanted to say that I find your show very entertaining. But I do have a problem with the superbowl ad. It really does upset me that a lot of public figures are acting like homosexuality is a good thing. There is so much wrong with that commercial when it is viewed by a child or an impressionable teen. I think that people that are homosexual should never be treated wrong because they are still loved and accepted by God and by us but we cannot ignore the fact that it clearly states in the bible that it is not just a sin but an abomination. I personally don’t want my sons to grow up thinking that having a relationship with a man is no different than having a relationship with a woman because it is but the media has almost gotten to the point where there is no difference between the two. I love my family so I want them to know that all sins have their consequences and they will have to pay for them just like people that fornicate or murder. I always thought my grandmother was crazy for only having the church channel in her house but now it is starting to make sense.
If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them. (NKJ, Leviticus 20:13)
It makes me sad that so many people will have to suffer this consequence and some of them, unknowingly.

If anyone will call on the name of the lord, and ask for His deliverance from drugs, sexual perversion, anything, if they will call on the name of Jesus everything will be alright, and if you want me on your show to talk about it I will.

Wendy I love your personality, and that you are a black personality on T.V., however, we must not forget Sodom and Gomorrah, these things happened as examples for the future to warn those who would try to live ungodly of the danger of eternal Hell Fire.
You must repent from this action you are taking to promote homosexuality it is sin. I know the Bible has become politically incorrect, and socially unacceptable, but what is wright with man is not right with God, because man has inherited a sin nature. It may seem right to those who practice sexual perversion, however, only God’s word is right. I want you to prosper as an Afro-American, but if you won’t stop this, you know no good will come to you. I don’t know if you are a Christian, but I appeal to you conscious. If you love your friends that are living homosexual lives you will tell them the truth, not what they want to hear, even has you would tell a smoker, smoking is bad for you, even though they sometimes smoke in groups, and tell each other it is ok. If you love people, and love God you will not compel people to sin, or support sin. Those who do these things are odds with God, because they are not like Him, they are doing in their bodies, ungodly things, and God because they won’t listen gives them over to disrespect themselves. He won’t continue to contend with them to stop sinning, eventually He has to give them over to a reprobate mind. Now I have had more then one firend who was battling with this sin of homosexuality, but I have seen God’s deliverance power in their lives. Now instead of you hearing out what I am saying, I know that this will be met by some with anger, because they are ignorant, and not in line with God’s word in their life, but it is still truth.

To answer your question Wendy, yest something is wrong with the ad running during the super bowl, just like hetro making out, just like those commerical about sexual arousement, and all the other ADULT ONLY things. You don’t have to be anti-gay to want our kids to see things that are kid friendly. How can a father bond with his son, if he has to censor the commericals????
