How you doin wendy? I am a loving 16 year young african american female. I know that there is a very slim chance of you reading this but it’s worth a try. My life isn’t a sob story. It’s not perfect either. I live in a small town and it’s my one oppurtunity it seems to come to the big apple in March.I don’t get into trouble, I don’t even party. I focus on school , family, friends and God. My dreams are what seem to keep me grounded.and my african american parents : ). I really have enjoyed seeing you on television . It’s crazy to me how much I look up to you. To have another african american woman on television doing something positive. And inspiring a girl like me to keep dreaming because my dreams will come true. Anyhow Mrs. Wendy like I was saying I am coming to new york march 14 till the 18 and I was wondering if there was just some possible way of meeting my role model. Or even a way of me coming to a taping. Pleasssseeee!
Thank you,
Ta’Niya

Hi Wendy…..How u duuuuuuin? I just want to say that I’m glad you invited him to the show. People are so quick to judge what others do and because Rihanna came out with the scars and bruises that makes him a “monster”! We weren’t there and only God, Chris, and Rihanna knows what happen that night. I will say this my son father and I use to fight and I PROVOKED each and every fight and some of the things I said to him and blows he caught from my hands should have landed me in the ER because he had every right to defend himself from my abuse. I was the abuser and people are so quick to jump to the female defense because they feel that the man should walk away but when you have women jumping in these men faces slapping, scratching, and God know what ever else whether it’s man or woman when a person puts their hands on you, as a human being first our natural response is to fight back so that’s that! And I am not a violent person at all but some of the things he did to me cause me to lash out instead of being a real woman and walking away because a man is going to be just that “A MAN”!

I just watched the interview. How SHAMEFUL of the WOMEN in the audience to cheer, hoot, and holler for an ABUSER…PERIOD.
His pity part is working. STUPID WOMEN appear to be buying into it.
As an earlier post read, if he were not “Chris Brown,” he would be in JAIL!
If he were soooo sorry, why is it that this new media blitz coincides with his new cd/video.
For his to BOAST that he’s “DATING” and “LOVES WOMEN” just SHOWS how he CLEARLY DOES NOT UNDERSTAND THE SCOPE OF WHAT HE DID! He needs to be somewhere reflecting on what he did, and accepting the CONSEQUENCES of it. He appears to think that repeatedly SAYING he’s sorry, is enough. It is not.
What woman would date him so SOON after him having “blacked out”, bitten someone’s ear (what psycho does that? oh yeah, Tyson), and BATTERED her face?!??! Maybe those same women…girls who were screaming for him when he walked out onto the stage.
I have never experience domestic abuse, so I am not speaking from a place of anger or bitterness, etc. I am speaking from a place of common decency.
Should his career end over it, perhaps not. Should he feel the consequences of shame and disappointment from his fans and others, absolutely. It is MUCH to soon for us to CHEER Chris.
If he were TRULY SORRY and TRULY be taking the time to make himself a “better man,” or TRULY UNDERSTAND how very VILE his actions were, would he be dating again already?
Rhianna stated she’s not ready to date. Seems SHE is SUFFERING the consequences of HIS actions more than he.
The pouring out of “love for Chris” is DISGUSTING and again…..SHAMEFUL
ACTIONS SPEAK MUCH LOUDER THAN WORDS

well i am a big fan of chris brown, and yes what he did was wrong, and now he is paying for it, but the man still has a life, he’s just like any other man in the street that would beat on a woman. he aint no different. so alot of people need to kill the drama. look at r. kelly and what he did. this man didnt do no jail time at all. so if you r going to support him in his music do that. if not shut up and leave him alone. everybody make mistakes. so he is learning from his mistakes and he’s moving forward. the man has a career. and if i was him i would not let it go down the drain. good luck chris brown, i love you and my god bless. and yes continue to block out the negative from people that dont mean you no good.

Wendy,
I just wanted to say I absolutely love that you invited Chris Brown on your show to promote his new video. I love this video as with all of his music. He is a truly talented young man. I truly empathize with him and Rihanna. They are both young and with that it’s hard to deal with the large amount of fame that comes with the stardom. I truly miss Chris and Rihanna and the industry was truly missing them too. I wish Rihanna would have come forward a little sooner. It would have made it look a little less suspicious considering she is dropping a new album. I wish them both the best and pray that both can get past this nightmare. Nothing can stop a star from rising! Everyone is rutting for the underdog. We Love You Chris!
Oh Wendy! How You Doin?

First of all I don’t condone violence of any nature….but I believe the Chris and Rihanna situation is being taken way overboard. True they are young but their age is no indication of their actions because people of all ages can and have been put in bad situations. I don’t think it’s fair that Chris is being compared to Ike Turner or other known spouse/partner abusers, especially when this has not been a part of his character or a repeated offense throughout his lifetime. I also didn’t think it was fair for Rihanna to paint him to be a monster and herself an angel. I agree what happened to Rihanna should not happen to anyone (male or female). We’ve only heard one side of what happened and I’m not convinced that is the full extent of what really happened.
Now, alot of my opinions are based on a relationship right in front of my face. My son is in a relationship with a woman 5 years his senior. He believes this is the love of his life but everyone around them (our family and hers) all agree she is totally wrong for him (not because of the age) but because of who and how she is. There have been several incidents where she has physically attacked him and on one incident actually spit in his face ….against our better judgement he keeps taking her back. He was taught to respect women so he walks away each time, my fear is if things continue the way they are he will eventually get fed up and strike back ….then he will be labeled as a woman beater. In my heart of hearts I truly believe this is what COULD have happened with Chris and Rihanna. No one really knows what happened but the two of them. I pray for them just as I pray that my son will come around and get out of the situation he is in.

Let’s be clear…Chris Brown did NOT go to jail. With the extent of Rihanna’s injuries ANY JOHN BLACK without CASH would have gone to jail. If the means he has to take a bit of Bashing from the media and the public that’s the cost. Everything has a consequence. I will say that even from Rihanna’s account he seem to have Blacked out. There was no “soul” in his eyes according to her. THAT IS RAGE. This young man has some serious issues. Do I think he should be punished for the rest of his life? Was James Brown? Mike Tyson? Don Cornelius? OJ Simpson? Ike Turner?
As long as Chris is out promoting and selling his wears he’ll have to take what’s coming to him unitl it dies down. AT LEAST HE’S NOT IN PRISON. BATTERY IS BATTERY whether it’s a stranger or a loved one.
As far as Wendy having him on the show…if she was on radio she would have gone harder and clowned him. Should she give him a forum…sure. His voice needs to be heard whether we agree or not. He should wear his shame publically so young men can see the toll it should take on the abuser. I wish him well though. It’s gonna be a long way back to public grace.

I cannot belive how many people are defending this baby without a second thought … no one wants to deny a second chance to chris and nobody wants to play the part of God but it’s totally outrageous to treat him like he’s the victim. What disgusts me even more is that the most of defending people are women! but what kinda woman can defend someone who has beated another woman? would you forgive him so quickly if he did something like that to your sister, your girlfriend, your daughter? I don’t really think so. there is more hypocrisy in an easy forgiving than in a long distrust.

I am a fan of yours Chris. I want to say is that you must stay foucs and do a good job at it. I will pray for you and Rihanna. You do the same.

I am a Chris Brown fan that has been disillusioned. Chris is being made to suffer although he is doing way more than his older counterparts have been made to do. In otherwords, Chris and Rihanna are young. I believe that everyone has been extremely unfair to Chris because Rihanna is a woman. There are two sides to every story, and because Chris is being a gentleman and not discussing it, is it right to make him the villain? I dont believe in any type of domestic violence, but I also dont’ believe Rihanna. Rihanna stated that she went back nine times, I believe she also has some culpability and Chris, being the man that he is, will let her get away with what she did. Pleaae remember world, no one was put on earth to be abused including Chris Brown. Many white actors beat their girlfriends to a pulp, did they get the same ostracism, I think not!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wendy, I commend you the most in how you handled your interview with CB. Kudos to you! Honestly he can’t apoligize enough and it will never be enough. He needs to stop the begging, pleading and groveling. It is best he get up and live his life to the fullest. The two people effected (Ri and CB) by this have chosen to move on, I think people with these anger tantrums and issues need to do the same. Repeating and regurgitating this incident serves no purpose, you can’t change what has happened. He can learn from this and move on, this does not define who he is.
Some of these people really need to stop repeating “he beat her almost to death”. The situation was bad enough without the exagerrations.
