A Michigan woman was escorted out of her local Target store for breastfeeding her 4-week old child.
Mary Martinez said her daughter became hungry when she was shopping at Target so she started to breastfeed. A Target employee approached Mary and said she was breaking the law.

Yes, it’s absolutely OK to nurse a baby wherever the mother and baby are. Lots of people talk about the mother’s right to breastfeed, which is important, but most important is the BABY. A baby’s stomach is as big as her fist. She needs to eat often, and she can’t read a clock or know she’s in public or wait.
