I am a 59 yr old male & I watch your show on a regular basis…..my comment on your advice today Dec. 16th to a women in reference to her (less that a year) boyfriend going to her daughters wedding. Your answer was for the boyfriend “NOT ATTEND” the wedding.

I totally disagree (you should have asked the woman a few more questions before you gave your advice). Obviously the woman was concerned about the situation….but we do not know why!!!! Her ex-husband may be bringing someone (that he is dating) to the wedding. At this age……I am a widower & its almost impossible to date or have a relationship with women with no children that are old enough to get married. I have always been invited to the wedding & I always introdued myself to the EX…..but by the time you have dated someone 4-6 or 8 months…most likely you have had some type of contact with the EX HUSBAND!!! prior to the children getting married.

If the EX & your girlfriend are older than 25 yrs old….this should NOT be a problem & if I was not asked to escort my girlfriend to her childs wedding….I would most likely end the relationship. Eventually the Boyfriend & Ex will meet at some time…..holidays, graduations, mutual parties or etc. I just thought I would (man’s perspective) make this comment……I still love you……”waaahata u dooooooooooing).

In listening to your Hot Topics last night, you mentioned PRINCE and BRIA VALENTE. Just to give you a little more…When Prince released his new CD (Lotus Flower) earlier this year it was a 3 CD collection–two Prince CDs and one Bria Valente CD entitled ELIXER. I guess he used his CD to introduce hers. Honestly, Bria’s CD is pretty good. The first song–HERE EYE COME–is very smooth and sexy. And honestly, I like her music on her debut better the Prince’s new music and I have been a Prince fan since his very first album. CONTINUED SUCCESS TO YOU WENDY!!

Hey Wendy, i just love, love, love, your show. Girl, thank you for mentioning those Parkerhouse Dinner rolls, I tried them for the first time on thanksgiving, my family loved them, I said “compliments of my girl Wendy”, you remind me so much of myself, I love good food, and my mouth get’s to watering too when I get to thinking about eating, Oh, i forgot to mention my husband fried a turkey for the holiday, oh, my, goodness, Wendy, my husband is fine, and that turkey taste about as good as he looks. Hi Wendy!

I love the Ask Wendy part of your show. Most of your answers I agree with. I was taken back when your advice to the lady on speaking to other children that were not hers. We as a black people have always done that, especially back in the day!

Maybe if we go back to basics we can reclaim our children, we didn’t have the violence and the hate among children the way we do now. I still believe that “it takes a village”. I thank the older women that help me raise my children. Most families now are one parent homes, and they have lost control, because they have to work, and just don’t care!!

Enjoyed the hot topics show where some of your staff that helps to make your look answered viewer questions (hair pieces, smoky eye, and clothing). Watching your sense of style each day is a fresh breath of air. A little different, but needed. Please congradulate your trendy hairstylist, handsome make-up artist, and cutting edge fashionista.
