Last night, your treatment of that young woman who came up to the podium to comment on the Charla Nash interview was insensitive and inappropriate.
Here this young woman came up to the mic, it what i can only assume was her first appearance before a large audience where she expressed her humaneness and sorrow at hearing Charla Nash’s story. when she was done all you could say was “thank you for that” and then went on like u had just heard a weather report.
you were much more eager to get on to something “exciting” like selling Iman’s jewelry.
I have nothing against Iman – but let’s face it – she is a multi-skillionaire. You could not devote 90 seconds to acknowledging a person who was mauled for life and then had the guts to go on international television to show her face? Well, I assume you would have given her more than 90 seconds, if you had gotten the interview first. Sad,isn’t it?
I still feel bad for the young woman that you were so quick to blow off. I hope this experience does not prevent her from expressing her feelings in the future.

Hello Wendy
I was very disappointed with your response about Charla Nash. She’s a woman just like you and me. Sometimes tragedy strikes without warning…it could have been you. Just because one is physically pretty today doesn’t mean they’ll be pretty tomorrow. How do you know that Charla was not listening to your show…just to brighten her day.Regardless of her tragedy she’s still a human being with a beautiful spirit. You need to grow up and be responsible. I know that you could care less but I will never watch your show again !

Hi Wendy- My daughters, parents and I love you & love the show! “How you doin???” Lol
Though I realize that the season for flies is mostly over now, I’m sure we all know that they can live on (indoors) for months after the season ends. I’ve been wanting to offer a better method of dealing with them, rather than dealing with the smell and potential mess of the vinegar method you used before. I received this in an email, and admit I have not used / tried it myself, so I make no guarantees. I just thought you might like to try it in the event of another fly episode…no pun intended.
It reads as follows:
Fill a ziplock bag with water and 5 or 6 pennies and hang it in the problem area.
Each of the millions of molecules of water presents its own prism effect and given that flies have the eyes/vision that they do, to them it’s like a zillion disco balls reflecting light, colors and movement in a dizzying manner. When you figure that flies are basically prey for many other bugs, animals, birds, etc.,they simply won’t take the risk of being around that much perceived action. A couple of drops of bleach in the bag and the water lasts a little longer. Good luck, Wendy! I hope this works!

Wendy – Did you really HAVE to GO THERE? (With your comment about Charla Nash)? What did it accomplish? Very tacky. I just changed the channel, and not wasting any more time on your show. You should have really taken the time to watch the episode with Charla because that is a woman who would like to come back to life and your statement and comment only keeps her in the dark.
And I couldn’t believe that a woman in the audience who was shaking her head in agreement with you, it was appalling…I just have a bad taste in my mouth about the Wendy Willams show.

Oh, Wendy, here’s a heads-up on some entertainment news. There’s something BIG brewing in Hollywood. And the plus size (women who are bigger than a size 6) and over 35yo are about to prove that “thin may be in, but big things come in BIG PACKAGES!!!
HINT: TWO OF YOUR RECENT GUESTS ARE INVOLVED.

Hello Wendy,
I was appauled at how you attempted to address Charla Nash! Calling her the Chimp Lady was unacceptable, cruel and absolutely degrading. You have to address this in you next show. Primarily, because we are what GOD makes of us. I watched the full episode of Oprah and from the moment I heard Ms. Nash speak I knew that she was a very sweet, humble, and appreciative person. What actually made me cringe was hearing the 911 phone call, not seeing Ms. Charla’s face. The 911 call was very horrific. However, Ms. Charla wished to reveal her face on her own terms. She should have been dead sleeping in her grave, but GOD’s grace and mercy made the death angels behave. He allowed her to live and see another day and defy odds that man could only imagine. I told my friend (as I watched the show with her), that GOD was good to her because she was not in a depressed state or anything of that nature. She had never seen her own face and I told her that GOD blessed her too be blind. Had she not have been blind, then she probably would be in a depressed state of being. Oprah asked her was she bitter about the ordeal and she told Oprah that she had no time to be bitter or hold a grudge, she said all of her time and energy goes on getting better. What a powerful woman! Being that she has not seen her own face-the saying goes you cant miss anything that you have never had! So, she knows her face is damaged badly, but she doesn’t know to what extent. I just feel that being a BLACK women of your status that you could have been a little more sympathetic towards her. Oprah said “later on in the show she will reveal herself on her own terms” then before she revealed herself Oprah announced that it was very graphic, and she gave viewers a moment to change the channel before she revealed herself. She is human and this was an accident. Ms. Charla did not ask for this to happen to her. She is alive and that is what matters most. What should she do Wendy? Perhaps go live in a cave or climb under a rock??\ I really don’t understand your statement…”Somethings are not to be shown.” If you ask me, somethings should not be said! Mrs. Charla will never see again, she will never be able to do any of the simple things in life that we take for granted. So, why should it not have been shown? She wanted to show it to warn people how violent wild animals are. They should not be in anyone’s home because this is what happens when wild animals are kept as pets. I’m a fan of yours but it almost seems that your true problem was with Oprah. Oprah is who she is all by her GOTDAMN SELF, and there is nothing that you are any other person in the media arena can do about it. Please rectify this on your next show…so your viewers will know that you have a heart and that you look beyond the external into the internal. You just apologized to people with whom you had hurt in the past (sister2sister) why continue to hurt people? This will definitely not make you #1 in your business! Your first impression is a lasting impression and every episode you show, you should act as if, it is your first impression!
P.S. Na’ how u durring??
Friday November 13th, 2009 at 12:59 am
How you doing. Maybe I miss something on the show I’m 58 years old and I do remember she had a child from Spencer Hayward years ago and she not nine years old just wondering.

Wendy, I love your show. You are absolutely the real thing. Listen, I hit you up for these reasons. 1) To congratulate you on being inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame. 2) To say thanks for doing a segment with Iman, it was awesome. She is so classy and a true diva. The Ray J segment was funny as hell too. 3) Lastly, I sent Oprah a poem earlier in the year when she was going through some very public issues regarding her weight, crying on TV, etc. Her studio sent it back and said she doesn’t accept unsolicited gifts. Wow, Wendy, since when does a person have to ask permission to give another person a gift? I didn’t know anyone could be so popular or rich that you have to ask to give them a gift. That’s some b/s! Anyway, can you tell me what I should do with my gift which cost me more than $400.00 to create and send to her. Its a beautifully framed poem called “The Beautiful Within.”

Wendy, you know I love you to pieces. But, once again, you put your foot in your mouth. How dare you: deny Charla of her existence. You made the most IGNORANT comment by saying this woman should NOT be seen. Grow up!….Act the age you state you are.

Wendy
I have enjoyed watching your show. You make me laugh. Since I found your show I have told many people to tune in. They do and we have a good time talking about the show.
So understand this is coming from a fan. YOU MESSED UP BIG TIME TODAY. I had to turn off your show today after what you had to say about Charla Nash. I saw a very ugly side of you, and like you said “somethings dont need to be seen”. I think your comments were down right mean. Could you be that clueless? Did you not think that people that care about her would hear what you had to say. She was a brave woman for doing what she did. She knows that people wanted to pay alot of money for her picture and she wanted to do things on her terms. I will tune in to see if you are smart enough to try and resay what it is you ment. If you just try to get away with droping this then, Goodbye to you and your show. You will then stay just as ugly as your words. I for one dont need to waste my time on a show like that. I will no longer encourage anyone to watch.
