  2. Wow…crazy how judgemental some of you are about a person you don’t know at all! You are planning on banning his movies because he didn’t smile enough for you? LOL! I didn’t see any arrogance, shy maybe, reserved yes, but not arrogant at all. Some celebs don’t tap dance, and sideshow it up for the cameras, and if that’s what your after Will Smith is right up your lane. If you hadn’t heard of him before this, then you were never a fan to begin with, and so your “vote” has never counted, and it hasn’t affected all the work he has been getting thus far…thank goodness too, because he is one of the ONLY prospects for an up and coming black male superstar! There is a void to be filled and I can’t wait to see how Columbus grows into that empty space:)

  3. I just want to commend Columbus for supporting as he says “his little brother” Chris Brown. I love them both. Inspite of Chris’s mishap, he continues to stand by him. Thanks Columbus with you sexy self.

    Love you and the show. I have to admit that I’m not happy with your comments about the woman who was mauled by a chimp. You referred to her as “Chimp Lady” I thought that was incencitive. This is someone’s mother and daughter not some side show attraction. Calling her “Chimp Lady”
    sounds like you’re making light of her situation. You also said some things shouldn’t be shown on TV. But Oprah gave a warning before showing the woman’s face. Not only did she give a verbal warning but it was also displayed on the bottom of the screen the whole time. I love you Wendy but you can’t tell Oprah what to put on her show. Just wanted to get that off my chest. And ofcourse I’ll still be watching. Keep it messy but please be respectful.

  6. Okay thats nice (to all his defenders)….I just thought he could’ve been a little more….friendly. I thought he came across as arogant. I didn’t care if he was gay, who he lived with, where he was from etc. and yeah he was cute (fine is pushing it) but he could’ve given his fans a little more teeth. The first smile I saw was when it was time to go. Though I’m not a fan and didn’t know who the heck Columbus Short was when she announced him I know that anything that I see his name in I plan on staying away from it unless its Boot Legged and I’m not even one who condones bootlegged movies. I just think that his arogance was too over the top. He could be the nicest guy, he could’ve been trying to protect his privacy…all fine but there are real celebrities who do it and have done it for years with tact and class. So to you Columbus Short….you better pray that your career makes it because your fans can make or break that little career of yours.

    I read all the comments about Columbus Short. I love him he is sexy and a really good actor. The first movie I seen him in was Save the last dance II. I think because he had just got of the plane and it was the first time meeting Wendy that he did not know what to think. But I watched him on the Monique show where he had a little more time and he was fine. A really nice guy. So dont go by this interview people. Maybe Wendy will have him on again.

    Loved your outfit it was really nice and Love the show.

  8. I believe that Columbus Short is a very private person. That’s probably why he didn’t want to reveal too much to you on your show. In an attention grabbing, Facebook/Twitter/ have to boast everything about what you did 54 minutes ago on your post or blog kind of world, he is a welcome relief. He just wants to come and do his acting and head back home to a normal life.

    I just watched the show with Columbus Short and I think it was a waste of time. His whole attitude seemed as if he didn’t want to be there. He didn’t even seem too enthused about promoting his new movie.

  11. WENDY U GAVE COLUMBUS SHORT TOOOOO MUCH TIME!!! WHAT A WASTE!! HE WAS A HORRIBLE INTERVIEW. HE SEEMS VERY IGNORANT AND NOT WORTH UR TIME. IM SORRY TO SAY THAT, BUT I JUST WATCHED THE SHOW THIS MORNING ON MY DVR AND THIS (IM RESTRAINING FROM USING VERY INAPPRORIATE LANGUAGE) JUST RUINED MY MORNING.   13. Wendy, what can I say? I simply adore you. The first time I saw you was during a visit to Connecticut to visit my cousin and she told me that you use to have a radio show. When I found out that you were coming to the DC area (I watch you on FOX5, WDC20 AND TVONE!) I was too thrilled. You are one beautiful woman, yes you are. I love your style and you carry yourself very well. I watched your show with Suzanne yesterday and I would kill for those boots you were wearing and I loved the grey dress too. Nice combination. Please, wear the dark wig more often. The color looks gorgeous on you and it accents your skin tone. I LOVED the clips of you being inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame and you have such a beautiful family Wendy. Your mom is SO adorable and I see where you get your beautiful smile from.   14. I know this may be a long shot but I am a beautiful black single educated female who would love the opportunity to meet Columbus Short. I am not the average who is just star struck but there is something about that young man that just captivates my soul. I would the opportunity to meet him. Why do i say this is a long shot? This is a comment page but I figured what do I have to lose. Like my momma always told me a closed mouth don’t get fed. So while I have a full stomach why not ask to be fed? LOL But to be on the serious side I would love to have the opportunity to meet his acquaintance. Can you help a sister out? And may I reiterate am a single, educated, attractive, black female that is captivated by that man’s smile.

  15. Hey Wendy,
    Today was the first time I watched your show and I have to admit I had previously thought Suizanne Somers was kinda off ballance. However, when I saw her on your show I changed my mind. After being misdiagnosed for over 10 years with various diseases I was finally CORRECTLY doiagnosed with narcolepsy. I am opposed to feeding my system with drugs (class 4 narcotics such as provigil and nuvigil) so I see a natropath doctor. Following the system of vitamins, excercises and such has let me lead a normal life without intoxicating myself with expensive drugs or compromising my body’s chemical balance. I think there is a lot to be said for alternative therapies and while they may not work for everyone, educating yourself with the options is extremely important if it fits into your belief system. All I can say is read EVERYTHING and educate yourself. An ignorant patient is a patient unfamiliar with themselves. Be your own hero and take control over what plagues you!

  16. I’m the Book Buyer at the Howard Univ. Bookstore. Luv the show Wendy, soooooo imformative. I will be sure to put Suzanne’s book on the shelf. While listening to the two of you on the coach, I was thinking to myself, WOW, she played the “bimbo”, but out of all of your guest, she dropped the most knowledge. Today I will take steps to stop smoking.

    I thought your interview with Suzanne was one of your better ones. Not because of what you talked about, but how you both handled yourselfs and the pace of the conversation. Very Very Good! Take a moment and look back on it. One of your better ones. There was a calmness during the whole interview. You two talked, laughed but it was different than from other guest, it was on a level of maturity, good manners and a thoughtful respect. Good job!

  18. I think Colombo (yea i know its Colombus) short was really standoffish during your interview. He seemed as if he did not want to answer any questions let alone be on the show. Given the opportunity to get more viewers for his movie he should have been a little more friendly and willing. Well what can you say he wasn’t given a lot of roles for a reason.

  20. Or maybe just maybe, Columbus Short doesn’t want everybody in his damn business!! Sheesh, if you have ever seen him he never answers personal questions and its his life. Just because he is a celebrity doesn’t mean he owes us anything but good acting. And just because he would not answer about his girlfriend or lack thereof does not mean he is gay. Yall women have read way to many E. Lynn Harris books. Get a life yall. Just enjoy the man and his acting ability and let it go. And besides. Would you really tell Wendy Williams ANY OF YOUR BUSINESS (Sorry Wendy but its just the dang truth). HELLLLL NAWWWW!!!!! LOL
