Toni Braxton Splits from Husband

On Friday, Wendy showed you this picture of Toni Braxton locking lips with the sultry Trey Songz at the Soul Train Music Awards, while her husband was in the audience.
In just a matter of hours, Essence.com reported that Toni and her husband of 8-years, Keri Lewis from Mint Condition, had separated.

Toni was on the Steve Harvey Morning Show a couple of weeks ago saying that her song “Yesterday” was written for her husband. She stated that he was about to be yesterday, that he had an affair and that they were working on their marriage. She stated that it’s hard and they have a long way to go. That’s the reason for the kiss and the split.

Wendy, bravo for lashing at Toni Braxton for even kissing Trey Songz at the Soul Train Music Awards. I believe that Toni did it for revenge against her husband Keri Lewis. There had to have been something behind the scenes, maybe an explosive argument between Toni and Keri that led Toni to later kiss Trey in their performance. Wendy, you talked about it on Friday–Monday, I heard about their separation at 2:30 pm in some What the 411 report on a local contemporary R&B radio station. How much things can change in 3 days!

About Ms. Toni, she was on the Tom Joyner Morning Show and she discussed the inspiration behind her new song. (don’t know the name of the song). But, her lastest release.
She said she wrote the song after discovering some not so good news about her husband’s behavior. One has to think infedility. Especially from the lyrics in the song.

Toni did an interview recently and she talked about having issues with her marriage. The way she talked sounded like it could have been some infidelity. She said something like they were trying to work it out. I can’t remember where she was. I really believe that Keri had to do something to make her angry in order to do something like that. She really doesn’t seem like the type to kiss someone else like that knowing they were still married even if they were going through a divorce. When I think of Toni, I just think of her as being very classy and doing it the right way; finishing up with one relationship before starting a new one. The kiss seemed like a statement and she wanted everyone to know that it was over.
