  1. Delicious. Used lean stew meat plus added carrots. Found this recipe doing a search on my IPhone for a stew recipe. We were coming home from church, and it was so cold out so stopped by the grocery store for ingredients. Put everything into my crock pot when I got home and was pleasantly surprised how wonderful it was for our early dinner. Thanks. It’s definitely a keeper and will go into my recipe binder.

  4. Ok, Wendy you had me there with the “cowboy stew”. When you mention that your husband and your son loved it I had to try it. My kids are very fussy eaters 10 and 15. It was a perfect day in Florida and the weather had dropped about 15 degrees so I decided to make it . Lets just say they ate the whole pot. The only difference I used the stew beef .Thank You , Thank You . Plus one thing . HOW YOU DOING?

  5. Wendy! We are such girlfriends in my head. I just love you and was soooo praying your show would be renewed. You are my dose of saily sanity with a dash of crazy. Luv you!
So…this was an awesome recipe. I used regular old beef roast – whatever was on sale. I used whatever cream soup was in the cupboard, and cheapo potatoes. So basically I didn’t even have to run to the store. It was soooo yummy. My hubby loved it and he is a fuss budget. I added – you will love this – shredded cheese on top before serving. Had too! I also made buttermilk bisquits with it. Thanks for sharing this!
See you for drinks in my head tonight!! Hugs, Lola

I made this yesterday and it was great! I replace the beef brisket with chuck stew beef and it was great.

If you have young eater I would suggest not using the hot taco mix – use the mild taco mix on the meat.

    Enjoy

  12. I cooked this stew with chicken. It was great. Thanks!
