Marlena Ortiz: Marlena Ortiz was one of the first guests to open the show for Wendy when the show premiered in July. At only 25-years old, Marlena was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer and was inspired by Wendy to face cancer head on and kick cancer’s ass while wearing heels!

You can read about Marlena’s fight against cancer on her blog!

For more information about breast cancer and the race to find a cure visit the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Donate to a School in Need: For the month of September, the “Wendy Show” audience donated school supplies to Asbury Park Middle School.

Watch as Wendy surprised the kids at Asbury Park when she delivered the school supplies!

Andrea Bowen: When we last saw Andrea Bowen’s character on “Desperate Housewives” she was being choked after taking out the garbage.

Andrea told Wendy about what it was like filming that scene and the difficulty she had making those choking noises.

Hear what Wendy had to say about that…

  1. Wendy,

I am soo glad you love The Desperate Housewives as much as I do. Isn’t it the best? It’s not as good as your show though.

  2. Hello Wendy,

How ya doin? I love your show and you. You are such a sweet vibrant lady who has a very wonderful show. I love your energy and talent. You really seem to enjoy your show, your guests and your audience. You just come off very positive about yourself and the people around you. I wait for your show to come on every morning. When you had Andrea Bowen on the other day, I thought maybe you said something that was alittle off. I am referring to the gagging statement.
We all say those kind of things but maybe not on the air. Things said like that do not reflect the true good person you are on your show. I still love you Wendy and just trying to offer some friendly and loving advice. Keep on having a great show Wendy and some day I’ll come to see it. That is if you let a 60 year old retired school teacher in the audience. I may be old but I think young!
    Best Wishes Wendy!
    Joe

But if you can find out where I can buy that scarf…I absolutely fell in love with it.

  12. Hi, Wendy:

Love your show, keep it up, you are the best.
    Love ya,
    Marlene

  13. Wendy you are my favorite show since Oprah started 23 years ago. & I have seen every one of her shows. Wendy your show brings in so many great dynamics, too many to analyze here, but one thing . . . please get rid of that bubble gum wall. If for no other reason than showing respect for the backstage workers. They should not have to look at your chewed up gum. They will come to resent you for it. Plus you exhibit way too much outrageous class to put up something like that. it can cause you to lose important fans. You are the prettiest & the greatest & a master communicator! Love this show! Brenda from Stockton, CA

  14. Hello Wendy, how u doing?
First and foremost congrats on your tv show. I have listened to you from you were on radio and now I’m watching your tv show, every night at 10pm NY channel 9 or 11pm BET. I love your topics, some are informative and some are out right funny, but I always get something out of it.But, overall it’s all good, you are a riot, so keep up the good work and stay Blessed, you and your family. Love the outfits, not all the wigs are for you.
Secondly, in regards to the review from 10/1/09 @ 12:13pm, please know that there is always haters in the world, if there weren’t any, we wouldn’t know how loved and Blessed we truly are, and if people have the nerve to pass judgment, please for goodness learn to spell.
Again, congrats WENDY and all the best. “Big Up”
