Fall Shoe Trends
Step into fall!
This fall’s hottest fashion accessory is the perfect pair of boots.
With so many options and styles to choose from, we went to Jacqui Stafford, Shape Magazine’s Executive Style Director, to walk us though the latest trends.
Open Toe: Rihanna has been spotted out on the town with open-toe boots. BCBGeneration lace cut-out open-toe booties with zipper ($110) or the Worthington for JC Penney camel suede open-toe ankle booties ($110) are great transition boots since you can wear them all year round.
TIP: When the temperature drops, simply wear with tights.
Embellished: Fabulosity for JC Penney grey booties with open toes ($60) or the Stuart Weitzman black suede stud and chain embellished boots from Bergdorf Goodman ($595) can take any outfit from blah to glam!
TIP: Embellished boots should be the focus of your whole look. Pair them with clothing in solid shades so they stand out and don’t distract or clash with your ensemble. If you are going for a rocker chic look, pair them with a motorcycle jacket.
Ankle Booties: Aldo purple suede slouched ankle boots ($120) or Wendy’ personal favorites, Colin Stuart for Victoria’s Secret shearling booties ($99) are more flattering for girls with slimmer calves. Ankle booties are the hottest style this fall!
TIP: If you have less than perfect legs, wear ankle booties with skinny pants rather than a dress or skirt.
Flats: Aerosoles faux python flat boots ($110) and Frye Cyndi slouch boots ($298) are a casual alternative to the ballet flat.
TIP: Flat boots work best over jeans, and can be paired with almost any top for a relaxed weekend look.
Over-the-Knee: Colin Stuart for Victoria’s Secret grey suede convertible, over-the-knee boot ($119) and Kelsi Dagger chocolate suede boots with zip ($220) are worn best over skinny leg jeans, leggings or with mini skirts.
TIP: Over-the-knee boots instantly make you appear longer and leaner. Petite girls should steer clear of this style since they can overwhelm a petite frame.

girl, give it up, we have to know where to buy those boots for plus plus size calves giggle….I am 58 and need a pair of high heels plus size calf boots..honestly, giggle, I need more than one pair wink wink
G/F, I am so proud of you and what you have accomplished…not easy for us plus’s and you have done it, by the way, are you really a plus, you look tall but darlnnnn you have a tiny waist…dont cha love it…

I was watching your show with the fall line-up of boots. I have a friend who has big calves and she is always looking for a high boot to fit. Hey Wendy How u doin? I have been going crazy since your show on Friday trying to find the black suede Stuart Weitzman boots that say they were from bergdorfs. Can;t find them girlfriend and they are a must have. Also just to let you know I work in a hair/nail salon and everyday Ellen was on the TV but,, honey since you are on you are it. I absolutlely love everything about you. The big hair, your accent you honesty and how funny you are. My 13 year old son loves you to I make him watch it with me so he can here you say “How you doing?” he walks around and does the neck pop with it. First of all let me say that I love you and your show. I want to clarify something that you said on your show about Hank Baskett, he was let go to make room for Jeff Garcia not Mike Vick. Jeff is going to be a backup QB while Donavan recovers from his injury. As you may have guessed I am fan of football and I am from Philly. GO Eagles!
Next I want to thank you for giving me the courage to finally admit that I need to wear a wig and not be ashamed of it anymore. I have alpecia ( I think I spelled that right) and I have been losing my hair at the top of my scalp for quite sometime now and was just too embarrassed to admit that I needed to do something until I started watching your show. I have plans in the future to get a lace front but for now I am going to be rocking a beautiful human hair wig. thx Char

Comment regarding the Frye Boot shown on the Friday 9-18-09 show. The boot shown on the show is not the Cyndi Slouch Boot. The boot shown on the show is the Fyre Paige Riding Boot and it is not $298.00 it is $328.00 and it cannot be found on the Piperlime website- you must go to the Frye website directly. The Cyndi Slouch boot is on Piperlime website and sells for $298.00 but that is not the boot shown on the show- LOVE THE BOOT SHOWN!!! Just FYI!!

I didn’t wear boots much in the past because of my at calves but Gurllllll those boots you had on were hot and OMG…did I say OMG…I am in love with those long black suede embellished sexy boots .
