I went to a party yesterday with about 300 guests. One of the guest proposed a game where we rated TV shows. Yours was brought up. There were different comments but the general consensus out of the 300 guests was your show is being over exposed – 3 times a day – which is a death knell to a show. People need time to digest, they don’t want things crammed down their throat. Also, while you obviously like to say “How You Doing”, it gets boring, since people have no clue who you are talking about a great deal of the time and don’t care. The men thought you look so big that you are like an Amazon and while no one cares about that with you on the radio, on TV, its off putting. Everyone agreed you should return to radio because the show wont last.

Wendy, I pledge to never visit New York again without visiting the taping of your show. Going to your show live will be my main reason to visit New York. You are not only number one in my book, but you rock the book from cover to cover.

I live in Nashville, TN, and was not familiar with Wendy Williams until she hit the television airways. I love her style, and her whole persona. I feel she is the most down to earth and relatiable personality that has arrived on the television scene in years. As you can tell, I admire her tremendously. I rly liked this outfit bcuz it made WW look smaller, but I like her larger more dramatic looks betr. They seem to b more definitive of the lively individual that she is.

Wendy, How you doin? Girl I use that phrase for everything I even have my answering machhine greet my callers with how you doin. Love you and your show. You are so real. Love your style, althought some days you can show less of your girls, but you still look good. Now Girl where do you get those beautiful wigs? I wear wigs and have worn them for probablly 25 years. I can’t afford the human hairs ones like you wear, but I would love to have one. Where do I get them. I have tons of synthectic ones. Typically I wear short, but I’m ready for a change, maybe not as long and sexy as yours, but to the neck and curly. Help a sister out and pass along the info as to where to get them. Keep up the good work you are number for talk shows. I was a diehard Oprahfan but I don’know. You bring someething fresh. Still love MissO always will.

It’s been quite a week. I’ve always felt that Wendy could do anything she wanted as long as she was herself (she’s a unique talent). I’ve only had two pauses over her show: (1) her refusal to feign kissing Chris Kattan and (2) her recent meltdown over “eating” and weight problems.
I don’t know what happened to cause that surprising scenario, earlier in the week, but I was blown out of my seat. Not only because of the meltdown but also because I thought Wendy’s usually impeccable timing was off from that point on.
My take? It’s not the food or weight-although both may be a symptom or at least tangentially involved-but something else. Whatever it is, I’m sure Wendy’ll be strong enough to get it out of her life—because she must.
This show’s an opportunity of a lifetime–and if she’s born to do anything, she’s born to do this.
