  9. Wendy,

This is ‘K” at the shore (south Jersey). I was glad you went off the radio because I work from home, and wasnt getting a thing done when I listened to you on the computer. Your T.V. show is fabulous! I was touched today when you started tearing up. You are not even big, just tall, with the tiniest waistline, georgeous. Its great that you are giving the bigger ladies more confidence and helping with their self-esteem, so important. Just loving it!!!!! Keep up the good work. Love the way you handled Cloris Leachman today. That lady is a nut case, and you seemed to be keeping her calm. I love her too!!! We tried to get tickets for the show but you are booked through December. Will be in Florida for the rest of the winter, so will try to get tickets for the spring, and I just know you will still be on. God bless!!!! HOW YOU DOOOIN!!!!!

  10. Wendy, I really have enjoyed watching your show this summer, and I hope it continues on … you’re SO fab and down-to-earth! I’m sure everyone was touched by your moment on today’s Ask Wendy when you teared up about having a problem with wanting to eat too much — I have certainly been there, and it really is a daily struggle. I was so touched by your openness and hug of the audience member you were talking to … what a real moment!! And I can hardly believe that you were ever bothered with feelings of self-doubt — honey, you sure swing it good now!! You’re an inspiration for those of us struggling to come to terms with our real selves, and not any impossible standard that we all know society has put on women!!

Also, I would love to know where you buy shoes!! I wear either an 11 or 12 (they don’t make 11-1/2s!!) in a narrow size, usually AA — all of which depends on the make of the shoe. But I find it next to impossible to find shoes to fit — won’t you share that tidbit sometime on the show?

Love ya, doll — and keep swinging it and bringing it to us all!!!

I BEGAN TO CRY, NOT ONLY BECAUSE OF YOU BUT BECAUSE OF ME. I HAVE STRUGGLED WITH MY WEIGHT ALL MY LIFE AND AT TIMES I DON’T FEEL SO HOT!. A FEW YEARS AGO I LOST 40LB AND I WAS ON FIRE!!!! NO THAT MOST OF THE WEIGHT HAVE COME BACK MOST DAYS I FEEL OLD AND TIRED. I HAVE MADE A COMMITTMENT TO GET THINNER BEFORE I DEVELOP HEALTH PROBLEMS AND AFTER SEEING THIS SHOW I AM EVEN MORE COMMITTED. THANKS WENDY FOR BEING REAL. I LOVE THAT!

  13. I just love your show I only watch your talk show because you are soooo real.Keep up the great work.

  14. Hey Wendy,
Today, I gained new respect for YOU. When the audience member said she was addicted to food, I felt your pain. I love you for not hiding that emotion, for sharing the truth, that some of us have food addictions. I was over 300 pounds for more than 30 years. After being diagnosed with diabetes, and a host of other weight-related ailments, I had gastric bypass and lost 125 pounds, but the BMI and the scale still say I am obese. I feel good, I exercise 3-5 times per week, I monitor what I eat, but I can say after years and years and years of being the short, fat, cute girl, I feel good about me. Thank you for being sincere and honest, when you did not have to, you could have moved right past that, after you gave her the advice to eat of the smaller plate. Thank you for coming back to her, thank you for allowing her to stand next to you. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I am 55 years old, and I have not accomplished most of my dreams because of weight. I know I am not going to be the only person to comment, but I had to say thank you. Food addictions, like drug and alcohol are real; and if you have the addiction and come from a family of big women, it makes it worse.

  15. How you doin?! Alright!

HEY WENDY! Just wanted to stop by and say hey! I LOVE YOUR SHOW! Thursday’s show (8/13/2009) was SO MUCH FUN! I’m a lil upset tho cuz I was waiting outside to get in to see the show.. and the room filled up I guess so we didn’t make it inside! I would have loved to have been there that day for a couple of reasons: I LOVE SOULJA BOY TOO! (How u doin!?)… Antonio Sabato, Jr is SMOKIN HOT, Oh and I almost died when you were talking about the “red bottom shoes” (That’s Lou-boo-tawn btw!)… oh and that Ab-Rocket.. I WANT ONE!!

And I say “How you doin” just like you… ALL THE TIME! I wanted to show that off to you too!!

Anyway, just wanted to say THANKS for having a great show! You and I met once.. a LONG time ago when you had the Wendy Williams Look-Alike contest at Laugh Factory (see if you remember that!)

Hope to see you again soon!!

  16. How you doing Wendy? Alright….LOL,

Hi Wendy, my name is lynetta. I am from Brooklyn NY and I love your show. I wanted to comment on your show today Tues. 8/18/2009. On today’s show during ask Wendy, a women confessed that she loved food and it bothered her because of her weight problem and you yourself had a moment. I was touched and brought to tears right along with you. I am a woman of a certain age and just experienced weight gain. After all these years why now am I having weight problems? I had cosmetic surgery last year (breast augementation and liposuction) and it does not look like it. I love you Wendy you keep women like myself hopeful and confident. I think that you are spirtual and funny and that is why you are able to be so REAL.
Good Luck to you Wendy. How you doing?

  17. Wendy,
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! I was just saying that Anglina Jolie needs to tend to Zahara’s hair. She needs to find someone or do some research to learn how to manage her daughter’s curly locs. My daughter’s hair is the same texture as Zahara’s and I did research and purchased an ebook on how to better manage her hair minus chemicals. It just takes a little time to save a lifetime of painful hairstyling memories and keeping her from self-loathing about her beautiful, curly, soft, hair.

  18. Dear Wonderful Wendy
I just started watching your show 6 weeks ago due to being home from having a surgery. At first I thought you would be like all the rest of the “Talk Shows” but I was suprised to learn you are not.
Wendy you are so loving ,happy, down to earth person on TV today. When you broke down today about weight I knew you were not like all the rest you were genuine. Oprah needs to take lessons from you.
The world would be a better place with more people like you in it.
Wendy keep up the GREAT, work all of us out here love the fresh breath of air you bring every day.
    Really really love the show
    Love Ya!!!! huggles
    R.

  19. Hello Wendy,

Goodness girl, you are really amazing me. Yesterday I was just speaking to one of my colleagues about what makes your show so different from the other day time talk shows. Well, today you revealed it. It’s YOU. Outside of being externally beautiful, you totally defy the stereotypical uptight, well-rehearsed and often boring norm that have become day time talk show hosts. Your smile is so inviting, keep smiling and being YOU. Now for a little juice.. I watched your show today 08/18/09 and saw you cry about your struggle with weight and how every day you have to make a decision as to what foods to avoid and I was touched tremendously. Ironically it took me back to a few months ago when I saw Oprah crying on television about her weight gain. I had written a poem for her ten years ago and had never sent it to her, but when I saw her crying on television, I felt compelled to send it to her. Do you know that her staff sent it the unopened box back to me with a note that read, “Ms.Winfrey does not accept unsolicited gifts.” Wow! I was blown away. $300.00 blown on sending this poem to a woman to make her feel better and it gets sent back. Anyway, I wish I had sent it to you, because now it’s just sitting in the Fed-Ex store collecting dust. You are so real, that I wish I could have sent the poem to you. It’s entitled, “The Beauty Within.” May I have the honor of sending it to you? You know what they say, “One woman’s junk is another woman’s treasure.” Believe me, it’s absolutely beautiful.

    Love ya, let me know.
    CC
