Yo-Yo Dieting
Battle of the bulge.
Wendy, just like the rest of us, has struggled with her weight and body image all of her life.
She always says, “once a fattie, always a fattie” and everyday is a challenge.
During “Ask Wendy,” Diana told Wendy how she is struggling to lose weight, but doesn’t have the support of her family.
Diana’s story really resonated with Wendy. Watch the video now…

Hey Wendy,
How you doing???? First of all, I love your show! I think you have a great heart & sensitivity to people you don’t find everyday. I don’t know if you do shows dealing with children searching for their adoptive parents, but I have watched your show, & I believe that you have the compassion to do a show such as this. I really need your help…so if you can please help me, please help. I know you are a celebrity & very busy, but I’m running out of resources. My name is Jamie Locklear. I am 32 yrs. old, I live in Loranger, Louisiana, and I was adopted when I was 7 yrs.old (yr.1984). I have a sister named Jessica Locklear, whom was also adopted with me. Before our adoption, from what I was told from my adoptive mother, we lived in several foster homes. According to her, in those foster homes we were abused in multiple ways & neglected –contracting TB–and almost died. I thank God for my life and the little family that I have, which is my sister Jessica & my daughter. Although they are my life, there is a part of me that is missing. My sister is sad, struggling with drugs/alcohol for years (which has pulled us apart), and I just recently 2 yrs. ago started dealing with depression/alcohol abuse struggles. We have to find our mother and father, or at least one of them, so that we can at least have some closure so that we can move on with our lives. But mostly I seek my mother. I will never be complete until I know where I come from. I want to find my mother & father…I ache for them everyday. It never goes away. Not knowing where you come from makes you insecure & lonely. I’m tired of feeling this way. Please don’t ignore this comment…I would like your help in finding my mom & dad. Please help me.

how you doin
Sunday August 23rd, 2009 at 11:29 pm
Hi Wendy,
How you doin’? You did not comment on the two hour television special on Octomom, Nadya, the mother of 14, which aired last week. She was overwhelmed, clearly dilusional, and rambled on and on, which her own mother could not comprehend. Besides, not being able to give the babies enough attention, her older children displayed problem behavior, which she glossed over. She and her children need therapy for the emotional toll that they are suffering, for she admitted to a friend, during dinner that she screwed up her life, as well as that of her children.

I really believed Wendy had a heartfelt moment on Tuesday’s show, when she spoke to an audience member about a shared obsession to food. I felt with and for them.
I even remember once on her radio show, she said her son cried because he thought she was getting fat! That implies she has passed her issues down to her son.
My question? During Monday’s show, Wendy suggested that Sherri Shepherd have a breast reduction to look better. A breast reduction is major surgery and the article that Sherri was featured in was about losing weight without surgery.
Why should she undergo major surgery to fit into the same society that made Wendy cry because of its’ obsession with weight?
Is she part of the problem or part of the solution?

I think that Diana is beautiful the way she is, sweety if there is a heath issue then loose the weight, if not then don’t worry about it. The family not supporting you is just jealousy. They want you to fail. PS who needs family like that, I will support you. Staf focused, self motivated, and positive. god bless!
