Kanye West Says He’s Not the New King of Pop
On a recent show, Wendy read a quote where Kanye West claimed now that Michael Jackson is dead that he is the new King of Pop.
Wendy attributed the quote to Scrape TV, but Kanye insists he never said anything of the sort.
In a blog on his website this weekend, Kanye said,
“I WAS JUST LISTENING TO WENDY WILLIAMS AND HEARD SOME QUOTE ABOUT ME SAYING I’M THE NEW KING OF POP. NOT ONLY DID I NOT SAY THAT, I HAVEN’T SAID ANYTHING. IT MAKES ME FEEL BAD THAT OBVIOUSLY I MADE PEOPLE FEEL THAT I WOULD BE CORNY ENOUGH TO SAY SOMETHING SO WHACK AFTER THE PASSING OF AN IDOL, A LEGEND AND MORE THAN THAT A HUMAN BEING WITH FEELINGS AND FAMILY.”
“IT SCARES ME TO THINK WHAT PEOPLE WILL BELIEVE, WITHOUT EVEN A SOURCE. ANY RANDOM PERSON CAN TYPE SOMETHING ON THE INTERNET AND THEN THE WORLD BELIEVES IT. I DON’T TALK TO PRESS OR DO TV OR DO PROMOTIONS OF ANY SORT. I’VE STOPPED CHASING AND BUYING INTO FAME. FAME IS LIKE CIGARETTES WITH NO SURGEON GENERAL WARNING. First, let me clarify by saying I do not condone rudeness. However, I myself have been rude at times, and been so intentionally without apology. Kanye’s taking the mic from this little curly headed blond girl was just that, rude. It did not constitute the responses he got both from racist media and disunified Blacks. We have given this circumstance more attention than that of Joe Wilson who not only disrespected the President and us, but also lied himself by calling the President a liar. Please recall he said “liar” following the part in the speech where President Obama said the bill would not include immigrants. Clearly those of you who think Wilson was righteous in his racist act have not read the bill. I have read it, and it does not include illegal immigrants. And where was this harlot Pink when Joe Wilson made the comment? She did not come out to say she would beat him down for disrespecting America, did she? Then Kelly Clarkson, America’s long lost slave owner’s daughter had the audacity to send a letter condoning Pink’s violent act of beating up on Kanye. I mean, really, get a freaking clue, all of you. The man was rude but which one of you have not been rude to someone. White America is upset because this was their lilly (again I do not condone what he did) and the nouveau ‘uncle tom’ Blacks followed the lead and forgot about Joe Wilson.
