Cheddar Cheese Biscuits
Ron Douglas’ interpretation of Red Lobster’s Cheddar Cheese Biscuit!
Umm…umm…good.
We love going to Red Lobster just for the biscuits and Ron Douglas says he’s cracked the code to their world famous cheddar cheese biscuit.
Ingredients:
2 cups biscuit mix
1/2 cup shredded mild Cheddar cheese
2/3 cup milk
4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) butter
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Parsley flakes, for sprinkling
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. Stir together the biscuit mix, cheddar, and milk until a soft dough forms. Beat with a wooden spoon for about 30 seconds.
3. Spoon onto a greased cookie sheet. Smooth down the tops to prevent hard points from forming.
4. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, until the tops are brown.
5. While the biscuits are baking, melt the butter in a pan and stir in the garlic powder.
6. Once the biscuits are done, brush the butter on tops, sprinkle with parsley flakes, and serve hot.
Makes 10 biscuits

Hi Wendy,
I am a fan, and have been for some time. You make some of my friends nerveous. I get a little nerveous from time to time. I am a 63 year old retired school nurse. My son claims I was born before my time, whatever that means. I try to stay abreast of what’s going on. My friends don’t understand and they are not hip. My new knees do not allow high heels, but I can do a little with my low heels. I am going to try Ron’s recipes today, and I would like find the book, hopefully at the book store.
You remind me of a friend when youj walk in your heels, it is so funny. This was back in the day. She had all of that going on. I remember falling a couple of times myself. (ha-ha) Oh, we could be girlfriends. I was glad to hear what you said about needy girfriends. I’ve divorced a few of them myself. I know I’m all over the place, that’s the way women talk, drive men crazy.
Love,
Gladys
