Wendy’s Nominated for the Hall of Fame
It’s been a summer of firsts for your favorite new talk show host!
As some of you may or may not know, Wendy has been a popular radio personality for the past 20-years and is bringing her irresistible personality and witty commentary on life and pop-culture to daytime.
Not only did “The Wendy Williams Show” have its national debut this week, but Wendy was recently nominated for the Radio Hall of Fame.
Wendy is only the second African American woman to be nominated for this prestigious honor. The late Yvonne Daniels “The First Lady of Chicago Radio” was inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame in 1995, after her death.

Wendy. How you doin? I’m a white retired disabled truck driver. I’m a frustrated musician and I have 5 kids. 3 by one beautiful woman and 2 by a not so beautiful woman. Well she was beautiful just not nice. I turned on your show last time you were on and you hooked me. I know your critics say your show is about nothing. Yep. And if you change one thing I will be devestated. You are the Sunshine in my life. My heart pumps when you come on and I’m telling you this has never happened to me by any celebrety in my entire life. I’m 58, I think, my wife lies so much I’ve forgotten how old I am. I love her to death by the way. I’ve had my doubts at times but if you stick it out it comes around again. Take my word for it. Just hope you are both there when it comes round again. Getting back to you. How you doin? I have everybody doing it and half don’t even know what it’s about until I brag about you like a highschool virgin. I love you and your show. I’ve been predjudice most of my life. Only as predjudice as my black friends and I hope you know what that means. I’m not proud of it. I was brought up and lived in Jersey City most of my life and well, we were always segregated in my days and it wasn’t pleasant for either side. I’m not a racist. I had and have a diverse circle of friends and my black friends know how I feel. They accept it because if they’re truthful they feel the same way. But I’ve come such a long way I think I’m coming around to sanity and realizing that what I’m afraid of doesn’t exist anymore and I haven’t had a problem with anyone for a very long time. I love so many of my brothers and sisters I feel foolish saying I’m predjudice but I dont’ want to be a hipocrit so I say it. But I don’t think I’m going to die saying it. But the thing is in my case it will be sincere and not fake. I wish you all the best and Baby if I was in your league you would do it for me. Bingo flaps and all. Although I can’t see any flaws in you my dear. Your perfect in my eyes. Well, you only the second celeb I’ve written in my whole life and I’ve probably said too much like usual. I hope you get this note because it proves what a service you are to the world bringing us all together. And the critics can just keep writing about you because your going to be there to write about. Wendy girl are you gonna break down crying like you did that day when you played that CeCe Penniston song “Inside That I cried” when she comes on the show Friday? I cried that day with you and I will cry again right now because you were my only companion when I moved to Washington Heights. I only had a radio and 2pm was the highlight of my day. I used to work nights so we had breakfast and chatbout daily. Keep it up! Glory 2 Glory Wendy. And you were so right. Big women need, no deserve, more hair.

Hi Wendy!!! i watched your show yesterday for the first time and girl you cracked me up!! you keep it so 100 that i cant be mad at ya! that Janet bit was on the mark! i been sayin the same thing! sorry for yellin but im excited!!!! OMG! How you doin’? I am so happy that you are being nominated for the 2009 RADIO HALL OF FAME! I listen to you on my radio on the drive home from work everyday in New York, and girl, sometimes I nearly have an accident laughing so hard at the “callers” in the “Just ask Wendy” segments. First of all I am crazy about your radio show and was so excited when I heard you were going to be back on TV. Last year I watched you on KRLD channel 4 out of Dallas,TX. I turned the TV on Monday,and they said it is now time for the Wendy William’s show,I was smiling to see your pretty faceTHEN suddenly a TV store came on. I suddenly went through all the channels BUT NO WENDY!!!!!! I was so oo oooo dissapointed PLEASE TELL ME WHICH CHANNEL to get you,
