Watermelon Mojito

Wednesday July 8th, 2009

Ingredients:
2 1/2 to 3 pounds watermelon flesh, pits removed
1/2 cup fresh lime juice
1/4 cup packed mint leaves, plus more for garnish
2 1/2 cups white rum
1/4 cup agave syrup

Directions:
In a blender, puree watermelon, fresh lime juice and mint in batches until smooth. Strain into a pitcher. Mix in rum and syrup. Serve in glasses filled with ice and garnish with mint leaves.

Yield: 6 servings

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Ease of preparation: easy

  1. This may sound like a stupid question but, is Agave Syrup something you make or something you buy at the store? Anyone? I would like to find a drink I can just sip on, instead of doin shots and getting drunk way to fast. It sounds like this drink could just be the one for me. I can’t wait to try it!

  10. Wendy….My female friend and I have a contest where we see who can cook the best meal…we do this the first and last week of every month. After about 3 weeks i had completely run out of ideas….Tomorrow is my turn and I am gonna use the recipes from this page to make her day…..i think i’m going to win this month….which will be great being that she will have to do better next month which is my birthday month.

    ok, you have been making me smile for years , thru some crazy stuff, you just dont know. I loved listening to you on the air back at home in jersey and when i got to va i would hear snippets on college radio, and sometimes on the web, now your show airs when i get off of work. You really are an inspiration to me, a lil sister from jersey just wanting to express sincere congrats and i hope it only gets better.

    I Love your talk show. I’m not much of a hip hop fan so I never really got into the radio thing but I did listen from time to time while surfing the stations and I came across your show and you were totally off the hook you had me cracking up one so damn hard I almost crashed my car I laughed so hard. Either way, the TV show is awesome and those recipes are great I’m gonna try them as soon as I decide to start cooking again.
